Live for something or die for nothing

I honestly wish that DBZ wasn't so much made for kids. I personally still would have and would have been able to watch it if it was supposed to be for adults so I have no problem there. I just feel like it would have been a lot better for me if there were more cussing. Dirty jokes and things like that. Now I'm not saying I want it all to be full of it just some parts. I feel like I would have enoyed more of the jokes now and relate more to the people. Lol I just want to see whatt you guys think about it. I know most of you wouldn't like it to be more graphic/explicit so yea please don't go on an all out war with me haha just my oppinion

I think there are more dirty jokes in the Manga. I watched Dragon Ball as a kid and I think it's great if they make it more appropriate for kids. Keep it going for generations, y'know.

I may not deserve to live, but I will protect those in my reach with my reverse blade!

That has more to do with Shounen Jump's guidelines than it does with the anime. Shounen targets kids form age 13-17 mainly and they're still under that 'mature' level that a lot of gore or cursing would have fallen into.

Although on a fundamental level it's sort of funny to say that if DBZ 'were real' I would think 'TFS' would be a more accurate portrayal of things, haha.

I've said this on several occasions that the Tone in DBZ wasn't mature enough, and didn't progress in writing like it should have been.

AT should have dropped 90% of the silly junk, and used it at calm times.

Aiming for an older audience would be a great thing in my opinion. Not like an all out R rated affair, but in small doses. For example I could see myself being highly amused by an exchange of cussing from Piccolo and Vegeta. I feel the whole saiyan/namek scenario could of been hilarious. Also if they made the fighting more graphic, actual damage and rather than a flurry of punches/dodges, getting to see these hits actually land. Yet I enjoy it the way it is, and moderation would be key, too much adult humour could completely change the tone.

Yeah, I already heard that japanese hat more cussing. Even the german dub has actually a lot of cussing.

It would've been cool if it was a bit more mature and serious, but I don't think I'd like it more like that.

A little less kiddy stuff would have been neat, but I actually liked most of it.

Well not more serious but more just adult jokes and content

I know TFS is all jokes but I mean kinda like that only at some parts. It would be so much more enjoyable to me.

DBZ is already a ten out of ten but if made the way I'm saying it would be like 15/10 :D

The Showstopper

Well , i do agree with the fact that some Adult Jokes and stuffs should have been there

Like after showing Kid Trunks for the 1st time to Goku , Gohan , Krillin , Bilma could have said : "I F*cking enjoyed Vegeta in me"

:D
