Goku is shown to be capable of teleporting anywhere and over vast distances in the manga and anime. With his most notable teleportation probably being the time he chases Broly's left over Ki signature in movie 8. ![]() My question to you is do you think there is a limitation on the amount of distance he can travel? Such a limit is never suggested or hinted at just to be clear. Goku's distance is limited by how far he can sense, whereas Kibito Kai's Instantaneous Movement doesn't rely on ki signature and therefore, has no limit. If Goku could sense from one side of the universe to the other, would his Instantaneous Transmission carry him all the way? Edited by Ryebrid, Apr 30 2013, 07:53 AM.

Surely The Only weakness of IT is that it needs Ki Signature of the Person .. if u can sense it , u can even move through dimensions , whats the end of the universe ? |

Well in the Dragon Ball world there are 12 (DB is the 7th Universe) of these little universe thingies here: ![]() (Top half is the other world, bottom world is the living world (our universe which is divided into 4 quadrants) which is ruled by science, and the very tip is the Demon World which is ruled by magic. The ''moon'' revolving around the cosmos is the Kaioshin's realm. Interesting stuff, don't you think?) So my guess is that with Teleportation you can travel only inside one universe/ cosmos. I don't think there'd be a limit as to distance. Nothing was really brought up about it.

Another limit is that the user needs to be able to focus. If not, he's not going anywhere; Son Goku (At Kid Boo) should have known where [insert any other place other than Earth] was, but couldn't concentrate. iirc

If he hasn't been there before, perhaps. In the situation your talking Goku isn't finding trouble by lack of concentration though. Manga Goku:"Rrg...!!! I can't!!! There's only time to teleport once!!! As opposed to: Anime Goku:"Damnit! I can't concentrate!"
True, but teleporting is something like an act of magic, and magic can have restrictions. Would you consider it magic? Edited by Ryebrid, Apr 30 2013, 10:15 AM.

I meant that going to the Furthest corners of the Universe is not a problem for Goku using IT

It's an issue. He has to focus, if eh can't he isn't going anywhere like with Kid Buu. He has to know the energy, he struggles to find Bulma at one point. Lastly he needs a place that allows him to sense multiple energy signals that aren't on the planet, case and point using Kong Kai to get to Namek, and not being able to go to Namek from the Kai realm. Instantaneous movement is much better technique wise. Delving into the movies, GT, and filler you discover other things. Goku can use it to increase his fighting speed but everything has to be sharp. You see him meet cooler head on and follow when he's dialed in. On the other side, in the filler Vegeta fight, Vgeta laughs at him and tracks him easily when he uses it because there fight isn't as easy as Kakarot expected and he's a bit flustered in the anime adaptation. In GT, you see a kids body can't handle it and that if you take too many people with you excessively it kills your energy supply Edited by Kblo247, Apr 30 2013, 02:22 PM.
