If he absorbs someone normally (like the way he absorbed piccolo, gotenks and gohan) They get sent directly to pods inside his body, but Vegito used a barrier, so how did that work? Did it like destroy the pink blob or something?

In the manga, Goku and Vegeta almost instantly find Gohan and the others, so he was still sent in the direction of the other pods.
