Trunks: THat guy that everyone loves and he cut Frieza up with his sword in 5 mins and didn't do anything else after that. Trunks came in a tooled Frieza and then jobbed at every other fight in DBZ expect for returning to the future where he had to win and in M9 and M7. Teen Gohan: first to reach SSJ2 and blew Goku out the water before even transforming. Gohan had a bright future ahead of him and after seeing what F Gohan was like in the Trunks anime I know everyone had high hopes for Gohan but then we get The Great saiyaman and the Dabura and Fat Buu fights. I don't get me started on the professor. So out of these two characters who was more overhyped and underused. This is coming from a fan of both characters by the way. P.S. can a mod delete the second poll with only two chocies. P.SS. If you think both I forgot to add that option so just explain you choice, Edited by miguelnuva, Apr 29 2013, 09:47 AM.

I though Trunks was the most underused, though since the plot was pretty much spot on in my eyes (Cell Saga and all that) I can't think of any other ways around that. I'm not sure about the over-hyped thing. |

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

I feel that : - Future Trunks was Underused [They had to make him weaker than Vegeta because they had to make Goku and Son more powerful so poor Trunks never had a chance Post Mecha Frieza] - Cell Games Gohan was Overhyped [The Earth's best hope doesn't throw a punch and only beats Cell with a rage boost kamehameha as opposed to the more exciting Goku vs. Cell] |
| We Super Saiyans are in a league of our own. | |

man trunks had less appearance and imo it was obvi that he was gonna be atleast weaker then goku hence why he came back so right their he had to playing second string, but he ended up 4th so a dissapoinment yes. as for gohan, soooo much hype, potenial this potenial that, ss2 and so much screen time and he flops gets absorbed by buu. but he was king in cell arc imo |

Trunks did his thing though , can't say he was overhyped. But Gohan was pretty overhyped as a fighter. |

It's true that Trunk was introduced in the series by killing the most feared and powerful villain that had appeared up until that point, but I don't think it was an unnecessary amount of power to attach to this guy. Frieza's story arc was on it's way out, and we were getting ready for some bad-ass androids, and Cell. They needed to establish that these guys were on another level, and it ended up being a pretty cool way of doing just that. He did surpass second form Cell, and rid his own world of the androids/Cell. So I don't think he was over-hyped at all. He only looked out of his depth against 18, but quickly surpassed her and second-form Cell along the way. Perfect Cell was too strong for everyone but Gohan. Underused? I don't think so. His own story arc was concluded as well as it could have been, and he featured pretty significantly along the way barring maybe the final battle against Perfect Cell. Gohan was over-hyped though. I don't think Future Trunks was overhyped at all. I mean he came from a future where he stood no chance against both 17 and 18, so I think it was expected that he wouldn't be of much use other than telling everyone of what was to come 3 years later. Also Jet made a good point:

I think Future Gohan was used very appropriately. It's one of the darkest deaths in the series of a main character and the fact that you know he's never coming back just adds to that. It really adds a lot to Future Trunks' character imo. |
| "The future of Gohan. The Future of Chi Chi. Not to mention the future of the entire universe. It all depends on me!!!! And I don't care if you're a million times stronger than me! I'm not going to let them down! So get ready Frieza because this time you're going Down!!!" | |
