Irrelevant

In the Cell saga when Trunks and Krillin went to go find the hidden bunker in Dr. Gero's lab and they saw the undeveloped baby Cell, why didn't they just get Bulma to reprogram the computer and make Cell into a good guy? It would have saved them a lot of trouble, and plus they would've had another strong ally.

IMO they probably didn't even want to mess with Cell. Also I think there would be too many bad guys gone good.. like one from every saga almost hah

You can't just "re-program" people. Cell is a biological organism, not an android.

And even if he was an android, there's nothing that suggests that he could be re-programmed. 16 couldn't be "re-programmed", despite him being entirely mechanical and running on a computer program that was created by Gero. Even after 16 was repaired by Bulma, he still had the incentive to kill Goku,

How would it have been rewarding? Like I said not ever bad guy should become good. Itll be over used and annoying. I like the outcome of the Cell Saga and I wouldn't change anything about it

Lol I'm trying to see YOUR point of view. How was I taking it too seriously by asking why it would be rewarding? Unless you don't know. Lmao

okay ...There are two opposite opinions I think THAT way and you think THAT way .
On topic
If they have done what the op says...They might get a strong ally whose potential might be even higher than the saiyans ....(probably better than yamcha's) thats tha point

In all fairness, Krillin WAS going to Kill Veggie. Goku stopped him. It just happened to work out in their favor. If Frieza hadn't shown up, Vegeta would have been back next week to kill them all anyway.

It happens.

And yeah, Cell probably wouldn't be very tough if they befriended him. Notice how many fights Vegeta won after he joined the Z Fighters. Hell, Buu was 15 times stronger than Cell ever was and he didn't win a single fight after he pulled his heel/face turn. Or what about Android 18? It was already over used and annoying, just a bit more subtle at that point. Either way I don't think Cell would have made a difference, maybe just replaced Krillin in the line-up.
Besides, the present cell wasn't set to hatch for like 20 years, so it would have been GT time by then and he would have been useless. Keep in mind, he wouldn't be Perfect Cell, just the basic Cell and not helpful at the least. Even base GT Goten would have been able to flick his forehead and atomized him.

There would be no point in that. And they can't just turn everyone into a good guy and hope for them to fight by their side one day.
