Should the Manga and Anime...

 Be completely redone from an artistic and dialogue perspective, because it's obvious the Viz has problems both artistically and in dialogue too, but I feel from a style point of view DBZ should have taken on a completely serious tone from the word go, showing it's greatly matured from Dragon Ball.

Now, since this subject has been brought up, do you think the Anime should also follow this. Redo the Anime where you can have it without filler, but completely redo the Anime it's self too. Because from an Animation standpoint it's seriously outdated, and just touching up the scenes ends up making it look horrible.

What does everyone think about this idea?

Please give a real reason as to why you either like or dislike this idea, and please don't just post something like *I don't like this because it's stupid, or it was written by AT so it should be left alone or anything like that* This is a serious question, and I'm asking for serious answers and opinions.

The animation should be redone I think, but Kai is good enough I suppose. With the artwork, I couldn't picture Toriyama re-drawing it all. Perhaps they could touch it up on a computer?

 I would love to see the mange re-drawn with today's technology, in color.

It doesn't have to be done too much with it, just spriting it up a bit.

 You all are going to hate me over this...but who said anything about AT redrawing DBZ, I'm talking about an artist with more detail, and a writer that can be dark and completely serious.

From an artistic standpoint, I think Keisuke Masunaga's in color would be an awesome touch for the Manga, surprisingly I think Shinichirô Watanabe could make DBZ more dark and serious.

Now, please don't bash this idea. This doesn't mean that I wouldn't want AT on the project anyway, it wouldn't be DBZ if AT wasn't part of it.

How about everyone else?

The Prince of All Saiyans/Debaters.

 I don't quite like the idea, because even if they did re-draw the manga, it would have less sales and they would have doubts about making new movies and such.

Also, AT and the other artists have moved on to much more new manga's not just one.

If it was an on-going one such as Naruto then there would be a slight chance.

But let's see if DBZ Battle of the Gods do get #1-10 in Box Office, then he would have second thoughts about touching up the Manga and Anime a little bit.

 Yeah, modern tech would surely make the series manga better, you should just see them ( on those illegal sites which I aint naming ) the quality is horrible that I had to buy the volumes >.> idk where they are now.

 I'd much rather them go to the Saiyan/Freeza Arc and just completely revamp it, drawn, animated, color, you name it. I'd say the same for the original Dragon Ball but since I'm not a huge DB fan it's not my concern. But considering the huge change from the Saiyan/Freeza to the Cell/Boo Arc it's needed. I'd prefer to see it for the entire Arcs but at the very least I'd like to see it in the Saiyan and Freeza Arcs.

 Haven't watched it yet, but wasn't it somewhat done with DBZ Kai?

Anyway, I would surely enjoy a redoing of all Z with more modern animation, but I still love the old style, it was awesomely done for its time.

 I don't like Kai, yet it cuts a lot of the filler out, script changes to follow the Manga more, and they Tried to touch up the Animation, but I think it still looks bad.

I believe DBZ's Manga and Anime is in as much need of a redraw and rewrite as Power Rangers is in need a omplete reboot...and I think it's inevitable, at some point it's gonna have to happen, much like I feel DBZ needs this.

 I like this idea Saberoph, I'm not really one to stick with an old style either. Maybe I'm just a perfectionist :lol:

They should definitely remake the anime IMO, if nothing else just to make it exactly the same as the manga.

 They should redo the Anime where it can cater to both crowds, in other words make it where if you took away all the Filler, everything about the Plot would still make sense and consistent.
