Chrome Favourite Manga Dragonball Z	Because it's nearly not unique. It looks nearly the same as the super saiyan 2. And it was shown that the hair grows longer each higher transformation, so they decided the one to the right to be the super saiyan 3. Longer hair, more unique. Nothin Favourite Manga Nothin	The editor during the Buu Saga time-period (1993-1995) was Fuyuto Takeda whom was considered the most lenient according to Toriyama. Hence, its safe to assume that the SSJ3 form was all AT's. Blamin his editor isn't right.

That being said, I hate how lazy they got with the names. Super Saiyans 2 and 3? Horse S*it! One story arc ago you were calling it A Saiyan Ascended Beyond a Super Saiyan (Piccolo, Krillin and Trunks called it a real Ascended Saiyan for short). Put some damn effort into the names! I'd take Mega Super Saiyan or Transcended Super Saiyan over Super Saiyan 3 any day. I mean I'll type out A Super Saiyan That Goes Even Further, or a Super Saiyan That Ascended a Step Beyond Ascended Super Saiyan, that indicates that they tried. But Super Saiyan 3? Ugh, no! Google Chrome	I actually had a theory that Saiyans store their energy in their hair along with their body. So if this is true maybe the longer hair lets him store more energy. This also explains why SSJ4 has all the body hair. I'm probably not right but again this is JUST A THEORY.
