When Cell exploded and lost 17, as he had lost 18 before that, how did he still have his perfect form? I mean, clearly 17 and 18 are the keys to that isn't it? How? So does this mean at the battle against ASSJ Vegeta, he could have exploded and could have become perfect?

Cell's nucleus (brain) subconsciously retained the knowledge of his power and anatomy before he self destructed. And it's the ki that gets incorporated into his body, not the bodies themselves. It's not like he takes on their physical likenesses once they get absorbed. My assumption is that the bodies get digested for sustenance. He explains this thing about his cells retaining knowledge upon his return to Earth, which makes sense of his cells can also retain the knowledge of how to perform certain attacks from those who make up his genetic design. Gero probably built this into his design as part of a regenerative fail safe, in case he had to regenerate more than 50% of his body, and physically lost the bodies of 17 and 18. So to answer your question Strimez, no. He wouldn't have achieved perfect form because his cells didn't have that knowledge at that moment when he fought Vegeta.

DSB I saw that, but I was pretty confused back then. Like it didn't make sense that without 17 and 18 he would have achieve his perfect form, I like thought those were the keys to it. And Ketchup thanks for the answer. |
