The Best DBZ Romance; or Bromance.

I don't know if this is already a topic, but I didn't see it so I'm making it.

Out of all the couples and relationships in DBZ, which is your favourite and why do you think it is the best?

This includes Bromances.

I personally like Bulma and Vegeta's relationship. They're both strong individuals with dominant personalities so it's unsurprising that sparks fly, in more ways than just hitting it off with each other but being quite confrontational with each other. I think their relationship works because if Bulma wasn't quite so similar, any other woman probably wouldn't put up with Vegeta, but then on the other hand, I think Bulma was much too much of a handful for a guy like Yamcha.

I also think the best bromance is Jeice and Burter. I mean come on, they have their own tag team attacks, their skin mixes together to make purple, they make bets on everything and compliment each other on their looks. They were made for each other.

If it counts I would go with Piccolo and Gohan.
More of a father son sort of thing than an actual bromance but I thought it was sweet. Had a lot of nice little touches.

As for actual romances DBZ doesn't offer many so I would go with Krillin and 18. Was an interesting dynamic and I liked the fact that it gave Krillin some importance to the plot.

Better than Red.

I like Krillin and 18 cause I like Krillin and I like 18.

As for bromance, it's gotta be Jeice and Burter.
Is it too late to tell you that I don't mind.

Well I think Goku and Chi-Chi still hold the title for the best romance in DBZ history. Childhood sweethearts that entered the ring enemies and left with ring with wedding rings. That is pretty cool, and the Son family is the most relatable.

From a plot perspective, the only romance that really got a proper amount of development and some level of timing was Gohan and Videl. Videl hated Gohan at first, grew to enjoy him once he actually was himself, she softened, and really became part of the Son Family. Her tenacity was that of a Saiyan and she makes a good foil to Gohan, and really is a great partner. That and even their Daughter is the perfect fusion of Videl's Tough and Loving personality and Gohan's Gentle and Strong personality. So from a quality perspective they've got it.

Krillin is the King though. He scored two mad hotties in a row, despite being like 5'0" and bald. That's just badass. Even if you factor our Maron, he still pulled a hottie that literally dismantled his best friends. He also gets one of the very few on-screen kisses in the series, that's gotta be worth extra points.

Release the power within you.

Gohan and Videl had the best romance imo, they were only ones that really got any decent amount of development. All the others just sorta got together, besides maybe Goku and Chi-Chi.

Best group bromance was definietly the Ginyu Force, those guys loved each other. As for just a bromance though, it has to be Goku and Krillin. It wasn't as good in DBZ as it was in DB, but those two love each other though.

Gohan and Videl. They created Pan. Also, they were cute together.

As for bromance, I'd go Shin and Kibito. They were also cute together.

Romance: Gohan and Videl
Easily the most developed romantic relationship in the show, and it made a lot of sense to me, they fit each other very well imo.

Bromance: Goku and Krillin
Reading the Dragon Ball manga for the first time right now and their friendship is awesome.

My favorite friendship is actually Gohan and Piccolo, but they don't feel like bros the way Goku and Krillin do. Their relationship is a weird mix between friendship, teacher/student, father/son.

Forgot this one. Easily my favorite friendship in the entire series.

Piccolo is well described as Gohan's surrogate father. You got something special if you manage to change an evil tyrant like that. Granted, Piccolo never was King Piccolo, imo, but he still was evil and wanted to kill Goku and take over the world.

Gaku and Krillin for bromance. Do I really have to say anything more?

Romance-wise, I dunno.. I hate Videl because of jealousy so LOLNOEP. I've gotta say I don't really like any of the pairs in the series... Maybe Gaku and Chi-chi but.. the way Chi-chi is to Gohan (and sometimes Gaku) just really makes me hate her <n<..

I thought Videl and Gohan were cute together, especially when he was teaching her how to fly. I also liked Krillin and 18.

Jeice and Burter defs had the bromance going on.

OH! I forgot Gohan and Piccolo! They had the best relationship. Probably because they got so much more development and it showed so much more depth to character. I mean when Goku got hurt or died, Gohan only seemed sad to me at one point or another on the merit that it was his Dad.

Piccolo on the other hand, I think anytime he went down it had more depth. Not only because he was usually linked to the Dragonballs (Because when you can't fix a problem with a magic Dragon, death and destruction had a much heavier consequence.) but because he was so linked with Gohan. I'd say one of the best scenes in Dragonball Canon and the Expanded Universe is when Piccolo dies in GT. Goku loses a rival and friend, but GOHAN is reduced to tears having lost not only his mentor and teacher, but his functional idol, a spiritual sort of brother in arms and the guy that was basically his Godfather (Arguably more so than the logical choice of Krillin).

Goku died at the end of Cell, it was rough. Any other time he died, business as usual. Piccolo made Gohan break down either into an uncontrollable rage or a torrential sadness. So much better.

Oh, how about this for an interesting relationship? Hercule and Pan, think about that one. Hercule is a lot of things, but even knowing that the guys he's facing are a billion times more badass than Cell, he's not afraid to step to anyone who lays a finger on his granddaughter. I actually believed he was gonna actually beat down Baby for a split second and it was probably the most amazing display of courage and tenacity in the series. And the sad part is, it was in GT.

Live for something or die for nothing

best romance : ofcorse Bulma and Vegeta. I wish they were more scenes with them interacting with eachother in a couple like way. I really like how in GT Bulma bosses Vegeta around and he acts like he doesnt get bothered by it but he does >.< haaha

bromance : Puar and Yamcha.. they were quite the rascals in Dragon Ball ... and Puar is really cute!! haha
One of my favorite pictures :D

I'm torn between Vegeta and Bulma, and Krillin and No. 18

I liked how opposite but the same Vegeta Bulma are. They both like to take charge, they both don't like being told what to do, and they both seem to love arguing with everyone. Yet, Vegeta and Bulma literally come from two different worlds, but how they gre up too, Vegeta mainly grew up under Frieza's control and had to fight his entire life, then on more than occasion had his pride beaten down and then ripped from him completely. Bulma on the other hand grew up having anything and everything she's ever wanted, and with the exception of her adventures with Kakarrot, she's never really had to fight for anything.

With Krillin and No. 18, Krillin was terrified but was taken by surprised by No. 18 giving him a peck on the cheek, that made him instantly attracted to her, and then made him fall for her, then showing her kindness after she was revived by Dende. No. 18 caught Krillin when he was completely vulnerable, then seeing Krillin destry the remote to shut her off. Later on, it's obvious Krillin's act of kindness act the lookout also took her surprise, and I believe that's what made her attracted to him.

At least that's how I saw it.
