They were completely unprepared for the arrival of the Super Saiyans, as Gero himself flat out stated. Even a handicapped Goku managed to beat No. 19 for awhile. I'm sure Trunks could beat down heart-diseased Goku. Only 16, 17 and 18 were ready for the Saiyans but that was because they were of a completely different power structure and build than No. 19 and Gero/20. Plus, unfer your rules of the fight, the one major perk that No. 20 has is gone, he definitely loses.

No. 19 and 20 had no idea about Super Saiyan, and there's no way they could've prepared themselves for a x50 boast.

Sick Goku is stil a stronger Goku than 3 years ago , remember he increased after 3 years ,and Trunks is lower than that. Since I have Gero > Frieza , Gero rivals Trunks IMO.

I find it to be too far of a leap that Gero would assume a x50 increase would happen...especially when he saw the strain a x3 and x4 Kaioken did to Kakarrot.

He knows that Goku made a jump from around 300 to 8,000 in 1 year! And calculate with Kaioken multipliers and Oozaru's. Chrome, Safari, IE Favourite Manga Rave Master, FLCL, .hack//legendofthetwilight, Naruto II	Well I guess this depends on one thing. Did Trunks do any level of training before he came back? I hear theories that say he went straight back to meet Goku as soon as he was done, and others that implicate it was an after thought after he checked into his present. Either way I have a feeling that a Super Saiyan could beat a proto droid and most energy absorbing models. Personally I always figured Trunks is stronger than he gets credit for, especially since the only fight he gets aside from Frieza is the fight with the virtually unstoppable and undrainable Androids. That's like putting an F-15 Strike Eagle up against an F-22, the Eagle would win any other fight except for one against a Raptor.
