Most disturbing movie you've ever seen?

I may not deserve to live, but I will protect those in my reach with my reverse blade!

Megan Is Missing was portrayed as a film to make people our age relate to the situations and tried to draw in the viewer by the use of mainstream media like skype, facebook, etc. I'm a huge tech person and when I was watching it I couldn't help but remember situations in my life that were virtually identical, besides the obvious thing of not being female.

Like I said it's not mainstream 'horror' or whatever, which I always find stale. It was a new breed to me and the last 22 minutes was sort of an alternate ending to a lot of people's lives. The realism and reality of it made it disturbing. I would watch someone cut off someone's head and eat it before I would watch the final part of that movie.

In case I wasn't clear I mean:

I would watch someone cut off someone's head and eat it IN A MOVIE before I would watch the final part of that movie.

What's so disturbing about it that makes it so unwatchable at the end?

I guess the "realism" factor that's very relevant to a lot of teens in this day and age?

I've heard of it before. I didn't watch it, but judging from the pictures of it, it's pretty weird lol

I don't get the thing about Megan is Missing either. I know what you mean with it being so realistic and everything, but I still think the movie was very boring.

I did see how it's supposed to give you and other teenagers a message, but the movie wasn't difficult to watch at all. I read a lot of reviews, saying that this movie is disturbing and they had to stop...I just don't get it though.

A Serbian Film wasn't even a bad movie though. It definitely had wrong content (the worst I've seen in a movie)

I watched Megan Is Missing and I did think it was disturbing, but my overall impression is that it was a boring movie with way too many flaws.
The realism was totally ruined by the incredibly awful acting in the movie. I had no emotional investment in the characters whatsoever. They were SO bad.

The movie had the potential to actually be devastatingly disturbing, so I do see where Cal is coming from. But for me personally the awful acting and the inconsistencies in the movie completely ruined the flow of the movie and the experience of watching it.

I haven't watched A Serbian Film though. I'm curious now.

It's true, Megan Is Missing would be much more disturbing if the acting had been better, the point of a movie is showing You the feeling of such a situation, not forcing You to have to imagine an even worse interpretation, like the scene Strawberry just described.

The issue with that film, mostly, was that the acting was so dull You could only really get horror value if You pictured it Yourself, but You shouldn't have to, the movie should portray that by itself.

In fairness, if You break away from that idea and let Yourself imagine how awful it really would be if You or someone You know were in that situation it has a much greater impact.
But again, that shouldn't be necessary.
