Yu Yu Hakusho question; About Hiei and Kurama

Throughout the series, who was stronger than whom between Hiei and Kurama? It always seemed like Hiei was the stronger of the two, though that's partially my bias speaking since he's my favorite character in the show, but I've searched around and found many differing opinions. I haven't seen much past the Dark Tournament, by the way.

Pre-Dark Tournament: Hiei >=< Kurama
Beginning of DT: Yoko Kurama > Hiei >= Kurama
End of DT: Hiei (post-DotDF) > Yoko Kurama > Hiei > Kurama
Chapter Black: Hiei ? Kurama
Three Kings: Hiei ? Kurama

That's what I've seen in my search for the most part.^

I'd agree with this, although I'd personally place Yoko Kurama as superior throughout the entire DT.

As for the Chapter Black Arc, it could go either way, considering how easily Kurama's strategy worked against Elder Toguro, although by the end of the story arc I'd place Hiei as easily superior considering that he absorbed another Jao Kokuryuha when fighting Sensui.
During the Three Kings Arc, I'd say that during the time 6 months before Raizen's death in which Hiei beat Shigure and Kurama replaced Shachi that Yoko Kurama>>>Hiei. Shigure was Hiei's equal, yet was stated by Mukuro to be the weakest of her 77 guards. Her top general Kirin was revealed to have a Youki power level of 89,500 in chapter 161 compared to Yoko's 152,000 at the time he killed Shachi. At the time of the Makai Tournament though, I'd say Hiei outclassed him by leaps and bounds, and by an even further amount in the anime short Eizou Hakusho.

Hiei and Kurama have always been fairly close in power. In fact, out of the 4 heroes of the series, all of them remain pretty consistent in power. Yusuke is usually the strongest by the end of the Arcs, like in the DT. But Hiei and Kurama and even Kuwabara quickly catch up, though we can all agree Kuwabara is generally either the weakest or the least skilled. Though power isn't exactly the end all be all in YYH like it is in DBZ. Hiei clearly states that he never wants Kurama as an enemy, despite Hiei being ever confident when he thinks of the prospect of fighting Yusuke once more.
Either way, I think your power list is quite accurate. The only other way I'd see it would be both of them being in equal strength pretty much throughout the series. Though I think Hiei(With DoTDF Fused) = Yoko Kurama.

Forgive me, I haven't seen Yoko Kurama's fights from the Dark Tournament in years. I rewatched a few episodes recently, but those were only Hiei's and the final round between Yusuke and Toguro. Hiei after he absorbed the Darkness Dragon just seemed like a complete beast, acting like Bui's hits were cotton swabs. Completely made him look like a fool.

But according to you two, Yoko Kurama might be equal or even stronger than that? My lord.

It's cool.
Yoko Kurama dominated his fight with Karasu when he appeared, like Hiei dominated his fight with Bui once he absorbed the DoTDF.
Something I love about both Hiei and Kurama was that both of them were extremely powerful demon badasses before they got de-powered. Yoko Kurama was a famous bandit yes, but he was also one of the most feared Demons in Demon world.
