Google Chrome Favourite Manga Shaman King, Naruto, Blue Exorcist, Bleach, Pokemon Adventures	I never said I had gripes with the PC, I love mine I just don't consider it a console, a PC was mainly a social machine that had gaming added to it, whilest consoles have done this the other way around, PC's were customizable before gaming and game mods came along, that has always been there, as for consoles, it allows people to appreciate what the developer themselves have done, as opposed to completely forgetting about it and forging it to their own liking. I myself have prefered consoles for gaming all my life, because that is what they were built for, I prefer a controller to a keyboard any day. Also, like someone else mentioned, modding will likely be possible on the PS4 now anyway. For example if I wanted to play a game back in the day I would call my friend and make him haul his Playstation 1 controller and a game or two and sit together on a sofa mashing buttons on a corded controller trying to beat eachother's score in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, it felt much more enjoyable than most of the desolate online gaming I come across these days, and me and my friends often gather to play Ps2 or Gamecube or something still to this day. It's almost like that now actually. So the question is, how can they keep improving the design, whilst retaining what it is that separates a pure games console from a PC? I honestly don't think they can and this is why I believe PS4 and Xbox 720 will be the last of their kind. Kamikaze that isn't going to happen with Xbox 720. 1. DLC. People who buy used games still pay for any DLC. 2. Online services. People who buy used games, still pay for an online subscription. 3. Game stores. Used games attract people to game stores which sell new games as well as used ones. 4. Sony and Nintendo stated they aren't doing it. Popcorn Posts: 9,904 Group: Elite Member Member #5,870 Joined: March 19, 2011 Gender Other Country Canada	meh nothing impressive shown by sony so far, so i will withhold a lot of judgement but having better graphics and stuff is not much, but im sure they will have something cool and have adv over other consoles and im surprised by the lack of knowledge of ps3 consoles, no offense but people using the ps3 actually dont know much about it imo i have been a xbox guy, so unless ps4 dazzles me im sticking the new 720, hope fully early editions dont crash like the original xbox, like people say, never happened to me though

Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball	It depends what kind of RAM it is. What if they are only using DDR1 for instance? Or a low HZ? Or a shoddy brand prone to corruption? How will the RAM be utilised to it's maximum potential?

Firefox Favourite Manga Dragonball	That's what I think. It's still in production and they're talking about things that pretty good computers are already using. When it's finally released, this kind of hardware will be a lot more common. In other words it's not going to be anything special. Which shouldn't be the case. A new console should either have some really radical new hardware inside it on release day or something that's at least innovative in some way. I don't think what they have done is quite good enough. Granted they're never going to be able to compete with PC's but still, I'd like a bit more than just average technology in my new console.

Obviously some degree of hacking would be required because of the necessary drivers but it seems like something that can be done relatively easily by a casual hacker. I'd say it may be possible, I'm sure it's a speical card, I doubt they picked up a PC card and were like " Okay this one looks good."" I'm sure it's specially made for the console, shape and size being just a small part. The actual drivers for it to be compatible with the hardware would also be an issue. If you put a different graphics card in, it's going to need different drivers, and good luck finding drivers for a PS4 lol . I'd say it'ld be less difficult, but still, you'd have to know how the PS4 is programmed, so it'd still be pretty tought.

Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	PS4 isn't backwards compatible because it doesn't have a disc drive(as far has been announced)but PS3 games can still be downloaded to it so once the store gets up and running you'll be able to buy PS3 games on it. Which is kind of a pain but thats just whats happening with the industry. I imagine there'll be cross-buy games like with the Vita so you buy Call of Duty 11,000,000 and there'll be a code in the box to download it on PS4 for free Although maybe not if you have a PS4 not much point buying discs. I think the RAM is pretty flexible don't know the specifics but they've basically made it so developers can do what they want. PC's are more powerful than consoles for sure but name a £300 PC that's as powerful as the PS4. Powerful PC's aren't cost effective for lower class citizens, consoles are something most people can afford which makes them better for more people.
