I ask because there's dubs I've heard about that names all the attacks Kamehameha, Turles' name is Raditz, and Bardock was a brilliant scientist. I seem to be doing well being a Funi child, so would Funi Dub be one of the most accurate if not the most accurate when it comes to dubbing? What's you placement for the dubs? Some dubs are more accurate in some way but less accurate in other areas. For Z I'd say the most accurate is Ocean's dub of Movies 1-3 closely followed by Funi's dub of Kai. Both keep the script pretty close to the original as far as I know but I think Funi Kai does change the occasional line were as Ocean's movie 1-3 dub was pretty much bang-on with with the translations. For DB and GT I think the Blue Water dub is a bit closer to the original than Funi's dub. For example Blue water actually refer to King Piccolo and his spawn as demons and keep the Japanese name for Power Pole which is "Nyoi-bo" and the Evil Containment Wave which is "Mafuba". And it also refers to the Tri-Beam as "The Spirit Canon" which I guess is closer to the Japanese meaning. And it has Syn/Omega Shenron as "E Shenron" which is closer to the Japanese name "Li Shenron". Overall Funi Z is my favourite dub but I have to admit there were lots of other dubs that were more true to the source material. Edited by 90sDBZ, Feb 20 2013, 07:31 PM.
