If you havent heard by now it looks like the Jets have are trading Revis to get more picks & build for the future. Probably a smart move when you take a step back for the Jets but when you have arguably the best NFL player probably on the defensive side playing the game then its tough to let something like that walk away for a few picks but who knows.

discussion: where will revis go & how much of an effect will he be once he comes back from rehab for his knee?

Adam Shein at NFL.com think its the Niners & Bucs who would benefit most & I would probably agree to an extent. The Niners would just be that much better if he was on. Youll never hear Culiver or Whitner arguing about Revis & Carlos Rodgers would be pretty excited too but we all know who would be #1 CB with Revis joining. .
As for the Bucs. Ronde Barber is retiring I believe so I have no doubt they need the help at that position. They wont lose a step with Revis in the back. Unfortunately I think that the Niners have much more to worry about than just acquiring a CB

Revis will go to the team that offers a first round pick to the Jets. Unless the Jets can sell the "damaged goods" argument to opposing GM's most won't want to give up a first. I hear the Patriots might have a run at him as well as the Niners but seeing as Niners have been to as well as the Patriots being rivals with the Jets. That the Jets might look to trade with a team that won't hurt their chances every year. That looks to me to be a NFC team with a lot of Cap space(if they don't plan on having him for a year rental.)

It might be hard to believe, but I really doubt they could get a first round pick for him right now.

Right now Revis is overrated but at one time two years ago he was lights out. I believe in 2009-10 he held every big recieve under like 70 yards and a few catches. He shut down my favorite recieve Andre Johnson to 2 catches for 33 yards in single coverage which is insane. I think right now you could get a 3rd and maybe 7th round pick or a single pick with conditional picks in the future. The patriots show time and time again that you don't need a 1st rounder to be successful. I think he will end up with a struggling team (Maybe the Jags or the Chargers) def out the division. and I think a BIG chance he could land in New Orleans because last year the Saints had a Historically Worste Defense in NFL History, some 40 so years

This guy is seriously a shutdown corner. ANY team that wants Revis should be forking over a first round pick IMO.

Revis still is a beast. He tore his ACL, but, he was astounding in 2011. He won me two fantasy games just from playing the Jets defense at the right time. He is the best corner in the NFL today. Richard Sherman could be there soon though.

A first rounder for a guy coming off a season ending knee injury and a contract that pays him as much as a franchise QB?..Would be a foolish trade

A guy like Revis changes an offenses entire game plan. When your best receiver can't create any separation, he ain't nothing. All those third down situations become even harder.

Yeah a 100% healthy Revis. Way too much risk for a first round pick with again..a guy making that kind of money.

I'm sure he can recover from the injury, but you're right trading for him would be bad. Not only because of injury issue but because it'd be a one year rental and would only come from a already stacked team. I doubt any team has enough cap space to pay the money he is looking for.

And he signed a 6 year 96 million dollar contract, but with no money guaranteed for what it's worth.
