Goku's face isn't always like that lol. I say pay more attention to the detail, not the facial feature. I think it's a great improvement, more details on his muscles and hair. Image is definitely a lot sharper too. |

Im confused. I know there are different animators episode to episode, but why multiple for each episode? What is this thread referring to? How/why are there two versions of each episode? I though the differences in dubs was strictly audio. |

Different teams did different episodes. That's the reason why the production design is different for every episode. They did this because it was the only way they could keep up with deadlines. People seem to forget that DBZ was all cel animation. The series was done way before the digital age. Animators now have it very easy. All they need to do is put some data into a computer and everything is done for them. Therefore, production design looks the same from episode to episode. Definitely not true. Watch any long running Anime and you can really tell the differences between each episode. With Naruto for example, it's so noticeable that people can tell who is animating which episode just by how it looks. At the end of the day, everything still has to be drawn with animation and that's where the problems come in. Also, Masayuki Uchiyama seems to be the least consistent there. |

That dude who drew that second SSj Goku Namek... Yeeeeeaaaahhh... He should be fired. Animation is not just done for them. I animate myself, and believe me, it's hardwork. You constantly have to draw the same things over and over, frame by frame, clean some things up, lip sync, I give Toei props for their masterpiece. There are some rough patches, in which, I would rather Toriyama do the drawings himself, but you have to respect all the hard work they put into it. I wish Daisuke Nishio would've done all of Z. Would've looked amazing. Filler would still be terrible though. |

Daisuke Nishio is responsible for the animation on Fusion Reborn, all the Broly films, and some others here and there, I believe. He also did the good GT stuff. |

He did the movies I think. No wonder they looked better though, he'd have had a bigger budget to work with. |
