You can supress them...in fact we know this becuse Goku was suppressing SSj3 against Fat Buu and considering the issues involving SSj3 are much worst than SSj2 we can ensure that SSj2 can also be suppressed. |

How do we know if he was suppressing vs Buu? What if he was just holding back? |

It's hard to hold back a KHH though if your fighting at full power though right? You can pull back your punches but it's kind of hard to pull back your blast unless you lower your ki itself.

True, but we also had implications from Piccolo that Goku was stronger. He also said "if you had gone all out". This to me suggests he knows Goku was holding back instead of suppressing. |

The unmastered forms can be suppressed I'd say at most to 90% of their total power, MSSJ allows one to suppress down to base levels of powers. For example if a SSJ3 is 4x a SSJ2 Goku could lover SSJ3 to only 3.6x SSJ2 but if the form was masted he could have it down to equal his SSJ2 power. |

Goku states that if he wanted he could kill Fat Buu to Vegeta. His line to Piccolo is just Goku being...well Goku I guess. If he's not supressed and fighting at 100%, his KHH would've destroyed Fat Buu. |

What if he just didn't amplify his KHH to his max though? There are some situations where not all of the energy is released. Take Gohan vs Perfect Cell, when he casually took down Cells KhH.

perhaps...though the term going all out would intell using your full ki. And remember Piccolo's going by the sense of Ki in this case. He has no idea if Goku is physically holding himself back and is fighting at full power so we got to take in line that his statement is abou tki and then Goku later on states that yes, if he had gone "All out" he would've destroyed Fat Buu. It just points to the idea that Goku is indeed holding back his power. Plus, it would make little sense that Goku who has had severals years it would seem at least for SSj2 to able to use the form with much more precision and be able to supress it. It's also there in Majin Vegeta's line. Goku starts using his full power and is stated by Majin Vegeta to be higher than Kid Gohan. Yet if you couldn't suppress the form, Vegeta would've known this during the fight with Yakon. Thus by that Goku would've had to have the form suppressed during that earlier time. |

I don't see why not. Nothing ever said you can't suppress a form without mastering it. |

I reckon you can suppress every form at least to a small extent (and to a large extent if you've mastered the form). I like to think Goku and Vegeta mastered the SSJ2 forms too, though I dunno why...

So it's just the first transformation that cannot be suppressed? |

I assume any form can be mastered the same way that SSJ can, though each one is progressively harder, with SSJ3 being very difficult to master. |

Suppress it noticeably? That appeared to be a big accomplishment. I don't think you can suppress much at all. What Goku did was what he set out to do - stall. He didn't have to suppress his power to do that, only not go for the kill. There'd be no reason for Piccolo being able to tell Goku was holding out otherwise. Uncharged Kamehamehas are pretty easy for him to do anyway. |
