As some of you may or may not know, the DB/Z debate tournament is nearing it's end. Pretty soon, the finals are gonna be happening. However, one of the semi-finalists, GridZero, has requested that his with Miles Edgeworth debate be put up for public voting, for reasons that I won't mention. If you wish to vote, you must post in this thread and give at least one reason for why you voted for who you did (which is why I will not be including a poll, because then I'd have to subtract votes due to those who didn't give reasons, which is just a pain in the butt). Don't let bias influence your vote either; choose whoever you feel argued their point more effectively, not the person you like more, or the person who was arguing the belief you agree with. Also, if you could avoid starting a debate with someone else over who you think won, that would be great. The debate can be found here: http://dbzf.co.uk/topic/8400647/1/ The voting will end Monday, February 18th, 2013, sometime in the evening (Central Time), or when one of the competitors hits a total of 5 votes. Good luck to them both. Current standings: GridZero: 3 Miles Edgeworth: 5 Edited by Kyouks, Feb 17 2013, 11:30 PM.

I personally think Grid brought forth a few more solid points. However, IIRC, there were some important ones he could've made such as applying the real world logic that machine's decrease in terms of effeciency over time, or that the constant mentions of Present>Mirai were to solidify the Present Android's superiority, even after that statement that implied Mirai #17 to be holding back. |

I vote for Miles becoz i saw that he was working with almost nothing at his hand to prove his point and Grid had tons Still .. grid made a lot of real life logic in it , which doesnt really apply in terms of DBZ . Plus , he couldnt Disprove the statement that Future 17 was holding back a lot and kind of jumped over it . I do consider it an unfair topic becoz miles almost nothing at his hand to prove his point ... So , Miles for me |

I agree with DSB, Miles didn't have much to work with, but he still made a lot of logic with it. Grid did a good job to as always, but I gotta give it to Miles. |

GridZero brought some solid points, and the same goes to Naked Snake, but Grid's arguments, and facts seems much more plausible than Snake's, so I vote for him. GRIDWON !

But it's really not about who brought more plausible facts, it is about who argued their side better. You already know my thoughts Kyouks. |

True, you've got to vote on who made the better case, not how much the facts seem possible on my side of the argument. Edit: Never mind. Lol. Edited by GridZero, Feb 17 2013, 09:10 PM.

I'd still have to give it to Grid. Not only does he bring up better points (Which is inevitable as he's go the most to work with) but unless you just outright suck at presenting the information itself. The person who has the better information should be able to present it better and even if Grid and Miles were the same in the way they presented, Grid's point on using information that seems more...I'll relavent and see to look upon gives him the win in my book. It's what happens when one ebates using information that is easier to use (Present Cyborgs>Future Cyborgs) and informatoin that is not as easily avaiable and not much to work with. (Future Cyborgs>Present Cyborgs) So Grid gets my vote...sorry Miles, no hard feelings. |

I'm honestly struggling to decide. I can't see any way either of them could have made their points better. Although I agree with Grid's point for the most part, this is more of a challenge of debating in itself. I'm gonna go with Myles then, as he made a very good argument using only little scraps of information. Edited by Crashbreaka, Feb 17 2013, 09:54 PM.

Before I give my vote, i'd like to say this was an excellent debate and im struggling to find a victor. I learned alot from just reading this about how to present amd counter arguments. Now for the hard part. After thinking for some time, ive decided that Miles should get my vote. The only reason is because he had a harder case to fight, but still managed to be equal. No hard feelings though Grid, your both winners in my books. |
