Posts: 790 Group: Member Member #5,932 Joined: March 30, 2011	Dragonball Z should have passed the torch to new characters, which means that Gohan and the kids defeat Buu, and Goku, Vegeta, Tien, Yamcha, Roshi, etc, should have been dead by the end of the series. Piccolo would stick around as a mentor, and Krillen could stay fresh from his relationship with 18. Sadly, AT never took any risks and kepts every main character alive. It's sad because a lot of them had the perfect death: Roshi in the King Piccolo saga Tien, Yamcha, and Chaoitzu in the Saiyan saga. Goku at the Cell or Frieza saga. Vegeta in the Buu saga I wish they all stayed dead after that point. In fact, I wish they failed to bring back the Dragonballs in the Namek saga. Maybe Dende could create new balls at the end of the series. But that's all just wishful thinking.

Google, Bing	Hmm, I'm in the middle in regards to making Gohan the main hero after Cell. I think, that Gohan should be the main hero, however, I don't think the change should remove Gohan's usual social awkwardness. I like that he is a bit of a geek I find it charming really.

A little iffy on the Roshi death, but thinking it through, it is the perfect death, and he doesn't do much after the King Piccolo saga anyway. We have to remember that the show isn't about Goku, it's about the dragonballs. What's the point of having a show called Dragonball, and never use the Dragonballs? Of course they had to succeed when going to Namek.

Chrome Favourite Manga Dragon Ball and Naruto	Idk about him being the main hero, but he should have at least been there helping kill kid buu imo. They built Gohan up for like 20 episodes to be the hero though, with all the sword training and sitting around waiting for his powers to be unlocked. Then once they did it, he had 1 episode where he ownt buu, and then 2 or 3 episodes of him getting smashed. I just feel like they totally disrespected Gohan in Buu saga and made him look like a wimp. Should have at least helped kill kid buu imo.

He is the icon of DBZ and although the show attempted to switch focus every now and then with Vegeta, Gohan Trunks etc it was never really an ensemble show. To me it felt right that Goku was the main saviour. I got frustrated at the lack of development for the other characters, especially the way Yamcha, Tien and eventually Krillin and Piccolo got treated. I wouldn't really have it any other way when it comes to Goku though.
