Goku and Vegeta were always strong Goten and Trunks Got strong after training in the rosat. Goten and Trunks just needed to get closer to Goku and Vegeta if goten and trunks didn't train there SSj3 Would probably be under SSJ Gogeta. So how much is Gogeta stronger than Gotenks? And Goku than Goten? Any little bit of power gained = big gain for the fusion This is hypothetical to give you an Idea Goku and Goten 2-3x gap Gogeta and Gotenks- 4-6x gap. Like most people have said, SSJ Gogeta wouldn't be so much more powerful than SSJ Gotenks.
