Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Berserk all day erry day	Not watched the episode yet flipped a coin over it and Attack On Titan being first... This is off the point but is there any kind of time skip in this? Keep seeing people referring to "adult Gon" not sure if he grows up or if people are merely stupidly speculating how strong he'll be. Gon should never grow up... Liking this arc so far Spoiler: click to toggle what better way to cement the bad guy as being pure evil than to have them eat children. I take it the Queen eats a Nen user at some point making her offspring powerful users of it or are they just strong in their own right? I hope the former but they seem fairly unique from the opening anyway

I don't blame them though, Togashi is still on hiatus and the battle chapters later on could probably do like 2.5 chapters per episode. Plus the fillers been quite entertaining and on point (though I hope they don't focus too much on Gyro). Next episode man, that's when the feels start

They should probably do one after this, hopefully they won't try to keep it completely pure, catch up and then have to cancel or ruin it with gratuitous amounts of filler... Wouldn't mind seeing what filler arcs the anime team could manage actually the series is fairly diverse nothing would seem all that out of the blue.

The pacing is quite slow at the minute, it's about 1 chapter per episode with quite a good bit of filler. This can't last though, some chapters are pretty short a bit later on and it'll be hard to keep the pace up when the main fighting starts (they're quite detailed fights even in the manga, adding filler to them would be difficult). So we'll see, they could even end the series by Chapter 340 tbh.

Ep 80 was also slow-paced but it was very enjoyable either way. The Gyro stuff's over with it looks like and now the actual fighting with the ants is starting; this is where it gets good. I figured they wouldn't make the scene where the ant with the gun eats Ponzu as graphic as they did in the manga, but the scene (looking away from the low quality of the art in the manga) wasn't as, for lack of a better word, exhilarating as it was in the manga (tough to think of it as exhilarating when it's basically scribbles, but I dunno how else to describe it). Google Chrome Favourite Manga Monster, One Piece, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter X Hunter, Death Note, SnK	80 actually had quite a lot, 2.5 chapters worth of content this time (though that stuff about Gyro was a whole chapter by itself except it took place a lot later in the manga). But the Gyro stuff synced a lot better here than the manga, where it was just thrown in really randomly. I thought they did an excellent job with the Ponzu scene. How the music has you hopeful that she'll run in to Kite's group or something then she's just shot heartlessly by that Ant. They're doing a good job with setting the tone of the arc now, we're really starting to get that hopeless feeling. Pitou has got to be either next episode or the one after now. Can't wait, the Royal Guard turning up is where this arc really hits it's stride imo.

Edit: wow that was quite horrible how the Ant killed her, I hope Gon kicks it's head off or something he was obviously very pissed off. Interested to see how well Kite's group can handle the Ants and the new ones that will be born... Is that bit with Gyro relevant or is it just time wasting? Edited by Steve, May 19 2013, 06:51 PM.
