A while ago, I got a new PS3 controller (batman - the dark knight design) and so far I had no problems. I didn't play often recently, especially FPS. I already knew that the analog sticks were a bit stiff...I know, it'll get loose after a while, but there's one problem... I just wanted to play FC3 again, since I haven't played it in a while and now it's a little bit difficult to aim. When I aim and move the right stick, the camera doesn't move as soon as I move it. So I have to move it a tiny bit for it to start to work. With my old controller, the camera moved as soon as the right stick was moved just a little bit. Now, when I aim, it's quite difficult...is there a way to fix that? It's difficult, especially using a sniper. I already tried changing the sensitivity, but it doesn't make it easier. I really wanna keep this controller, since it looks so awesome. I like having only one main controller, so I don't wanna change controllers whenever I play a different game. |

Did you buy it in a store or order it online? Try get a refund if its from a store and if not then its probably not a genuine official one. I had the same problem with a controller I order just keep it for emergencies it only worked when I took the stick off as in the whole black bit(i got really mad at not being able to aim) If you can't get a refund or new one I would twirl the stick round a lot for a few days and if it didn't get better take it off. A warning though when its off don't touch any metal bits sometimes you get an electric shock... Going to order any future controllers from a Sony website anyway, recommend you do the same

Bought it in a store...but I'm afraid I can't get refund since I already have it for more than a month. Well, I thought just moving it and maybe it'll get better, but I don't know... The thing is, I only have normal ones and that's the first "special" one that I have...and I really like it...I guess if there's not solution, I can just not use it for FPS, but I'd still like to always use it. To explain it a little bit better (maybe that helps even more): Red is the area where it doesn't seem to react. The middle (...) is the where the stick / my thumb would be. Where the red ends, that's where it starts moving the camera. (..........(.(....................).)..........) |

You might get used to it eventually :P There are a lot of problems with controllers that you don't get with the PS3 Every controller I've got with one has worked perfect just dropped it too many times and had to buy another which doesn't work... Have you taken it apart? There might be a tiny screw lose or something like that messing with it might be a guide somewhere on how to fix it. Be warned though they are very frustrating to put back together... |

You know, actually, there is a rattling sound when I shake it or sometimes when I tilt it quickly. I thought that might be something, but I never noticed anything wrong...but now you reminded me of that...but how can a screw cause that? I don't think that really matters for the analog stick...but, yes, there is something loose... Should I try to open it and look? |

If its not your only controller you might as well. One of mine had bits of plastic loose in it because I dropped it and it messed it up a bit but after getting it out it was ok. Not sure how the analogs work but there could be something stucj in the wires messing it up. Be careful with the back buttons they are really really awkward to get back on... |

i'll try that and say if it worked. Thanks :D Edit: Didn't see anything wrong with it. I guess I need to get used to it...if I really can't, I'll change controller for specific games. Still thanks^^ Edited by i am wolf the noob lol, Feb 1 2013, 09:34 PM.
