Who here would like to see Forum Mods being added to the DBZ section?

Like this post please if you agree with that measure.
Please note that we don't just want a moderator for the section, we want someone who is willing to really be there, not just for moderation but as someone we members can really get to know. I'm not sure if this is what you meant but I truly wanted to get that point down. Don't just sent some random person to be a mod there, find someone who has been at the DBZ section for a while and has the knowledge and time willing to help us out.
You guys want a fresh face being added who's already a regular in the DBZ section and contributes to the discussions. Someone who interacts with the members from that section and is genuinely interested in it.

That's what I gathered from your posts here. If I'm not correct feel free to tell me something I might have missed.

I think depending on how much effort is required to create a new staff role, creating a DBZ section moderator with powers limited to the DBZ section could be a compromise? This would stop the staff team getting bloated but hopefully improve moderating in that particular section.
I think this is the best solution for this problem. We should have a dedicated member be a forum mod for that area. I'm usually on daily, but I get busy with the graphics area so I don't pay attention to all the warning logs.

In any case, it doesn't mean you cant report a post. If you see it, report it. I, myself, will me more open to this when I see it.

Someone like Kamikaze Pyro or Naked Snake should be a mod for DBZ Section IMO. Because they are most respected and has the most knowledge in DBZ section.

Okay. Gotcha.

Like I said, each one of you is being heard.
This thread will stay open until the rest of the mods and the admins see it in case they want to add anything else.

Meanwhile, please be patient and wait for more news to come out regarding the topics you guys brought up here.

IMO there should be a group of mods to handle the DB sections. Not super moderators, just moderators.

All the other sections are fine. I use the report button, but as others said it doesn't fix the problem immediately.

If you guys are serious about appointing someone, then maybe a forum-wide poll could be set up. Whoever gets the most votes would be the number one candidate. It would then be up to the staff to determine if they agree with the decision or not. Ultimately, the final call should be the staff.

I trust the members opinions on the forum, but my main concern with this is that it would turn into a popularity contest. Sometimes the most popular candidates don't make the best ones.

Although, I do like the idea of having the members have a voice in this. It all depends on how serious everyone will be if it comes down to voting someone as a forum mod.

That's why I think it would make sense for the staff to have the final call. You guys would be able to see who the members want, and if you disagree, you can simply turn down the request.

I agree. A more popular member would be voted in as mod.

Ana is right. A poll could very easily result in a popularity contest.
We do however take into consideration everyone appointed in this thread for the role in question.

If you want to suggest more names you can do that. However, if there's going to be new forum mods they'll definitely be chosen by the staff team after deliberation.

I'd like to enforce the idea that we're all on the same page. We all just want the forum to run smoothly. You can trust us and our judgement. Thanks for everybody's input in this thread!

About a year ago I'd nominate myself, tbh. But I'm way too unreliable atm. I do wish luck to whoever is appointed.

I nominate myself haha :P
I think Professor Gohan would do a great job, and SuperSaiyan2.

But yes we can trust the staff's judgement on these things, they know who has what it takes and who doesn't. People also need to remember that just because you are not a mod does not mean you cannot contribute to the forum in other ways. The report button is vital and everyone needs to remember that. :)

I may not deserve to live, but I will protect those in my reach with my reverse blade!

I think Naked Snake, Brofist, Kyouka, Clearin, etc would be good choices.

I also think the staff should be sure to get Copy_Ninja's opinion considering I see him in the actual dbz sections a good bit and is intelligent enough to understand what goes on.

Someone respected in db/z sections and very active.

Lastly, someone with contrast. Someone who is willing to disagree with staff because they care for the forum, and have no axes to grind. The reason this topic was brought up was because we need contrast to begin with.

Thanks for the staff who have posted here in a respectful and honest manner. I know it doesn't mean much but I do remember that and truly appreciate it.
