As those who have read my previous review, you know I am a fan of Halo in general. So of course I got the newest iteration to play lol. And here, I shall as usual, give my findings upon the game. As with my usual synopsis, I will not spoil anything of the plot of this game, but I will warn (as much as I need to considering the facts) that the opening of this game does spoil the ending of Halo 3. You begin the game in cryostasis, having been 4 years since the ending of Halo 3 and the final blow against the Prophet of Truth, his Covenant, and the Flood Gravemind. On your half of a ship, Forward Unto Dawn, you drift towards a Forerunner planet, designated as Requiem, when all of a sudden, Covenant forces appear, and begin attacking your ship, desiring to eliminate any resistance while they look to the planet. As you fight the Covenant first on your ship, and then with boots on ground on Requiem, you become aware of an ancient evil, ressurecting with it a danger not seen since tbe Flood..... Now onto gameplay. As with Reach, Halo 4 is an evolution of Halo in general. Again, there are new weapons as well as old ones, as well as new vehicles to drive, including Halo's first drivable mech, the Mantis. The music in this Halo game is remarkable to me for a number of reasons, chiefly because of how amazing it really is, and that it is the first not done by Marty O'Donnell. Every note of the soundtrack is perfectly reflected in the gameplay action. As a fan, I give this a score of 9.5/10. It is an amazing game in all facets. The only real gripe I have is that the Plasma Rifle was replaced by the Storm Rifle. I liked the old Plasma Rifle. I saw no real need to replace it, but that is my opnion. As a non fan I'd give it a score of 8/10. A solid game, solid story and solid multiplayer. Ut as always, frustration online may come into play when in muktiplayer due to the people who play online and their skill level. Of course, these are the ramblings of one gamer. Feel free to argue any point of mine you disagree with. *Bip. Bip. Bip. Beeep* SLAYER. |

I agree. I love this game, the campaign is great and the multiplayer is fun. The skill level of some of those online makes the game frustrating at times, but that's how it is with any game with multiplayer death matches. |

I personally preferred the single player gameplay as opposed to the multi. I buy Halo for the rich story and plot, not to teabag 12 year old foul mouthed kids lol. |
