No ... i didnt want to point out that : AT didnt hate Vegeta

Really ... Most of the people [from whom i heard that AT hates Vegeta] ..... are Tien fans ...........
Wait what? How do you mean Tien fans?
What "How do you mean Tien fans?"

Majority of Vegeta Haters are Tien Fans ...... becoz they often tell me :

"Tien didnt have a chance of becoming great becoz of that ****** vegeta "

Not Necessarily its u ........ though...........
Why would they say that?

Vegeta didn't stop Tien in any way. Tien got lame because of DBZ, same as Krillin and everyone else who isn't a saiyan.

But Yamcha didn't become a loser, he always was one.

Also, Kuririn was a main asset to the team up to the Freeza Saga (Garlic jr. Saga, if you're willing to count anime filler) and was able to stay in the game until after the Cell Saga. Piccolo is the same only with less clumsiness.

I just don't think AT would alienate his own characters. Plus, all Saiyans MUST go super, it's what they do

I love Vegeta.

There is some truth to Toriyama not liking Vegeta.

1) He killed him deliberately because the fans told him not to. (Possibly Toriyama being a poophead to the fans, but I think there's some conflict there because he doesn't like Vegeta)

2) Flat out says he dislikes Vegeta

And...the funniest one.

3) He said that the only reason he cropped Vegeta's hair and gave him a mustache in GT is to get a rise out of the Toei people.

LOL

I don't really like your arguement DSB.
First of all, AT never said he hates Vegeta, he just mentions his cons.
And secondly, if you don't like a certain character of yours you don't put him aside like a nobody.

Think of Piccolo. He is AT's favorite character and he doesn't make him major.

Why should they hate Vegeta of that? Nappa was the one who let them get killed. Then Piccolo fans should hate Vegeta fans too since Vegeta took his place as rival,Krillin fans should hate Vegeta too since Vegeta becomes a good friend of Goku , Gohan fans should hate Vegeta too since Vegeta is the last one left with Goku at Kid Buu saga,Yamcha fans should hate Vegeta fans too as Vegeta steals his wife...
Why would you hate someone over a character they like that you don't in an anime? :|

Even if AT didn't like Vegeta, he did say he is "extremely useful to have around". That's basically implying he uses Vegeta for important things, like setting up the genki dama vs. Chibi Boo, sacrificing Vegeta vs. Fat Boo made sense, fusing with Goku, etc. etc.

You don't have to hate someone to not keep them around.

That was probably the same In AT's case. Plus, what would of happened if Vegeta wasn't around? I don't see it making it that far, but that's just me. I think Vegeta was a really important role for the series.

Very much so. I am surprised Toriyama didn't like him much. He and Piccolo were the two best developed characters, but, Vegeta was definitely the best. They actually had solid character growth and development.

Goku, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, all of the Earthlings... None of their personalities change as a reflection to the story. Only Vegeta and somewhat Piccolo. That's the only major flaw of Dragonball.

Tien and Piccolo's changed fast IMO.

Tien changed from a Bully to a Rival until he died in Saiyan saga. Then he became a friend.

Piccolo changed from EoDB until Goku died , then he became a good friend and a Z warrior.

Vegeta changed from BoDBZ Tiiillllllll Buu saga. Throughout whole series.

Vegeta had the best character development IMO.

Goku is the only character doesn't go through any major changes as a character. Sure, there's some noticeable ones in the original Dragon Ball but in DBZ, he remains largely the same (although being static doesn't mean he's a bad character).

From what I have gathered from the posts about Toriayama and Vegeta and DBZ in general.

Toriyama probably wanted the latter half of Dragon Ball to be more about the transition of Goku to Gohan

and about the increasing relevance of Piccolo as a rival to Goku and a mentor to Gohan.

Especially since it seems that Piccolo has become a rival to Goku in both power and

as a mentor to his son.

Vegeta was probably originally supposed to be a recurring character since Toriyama let him live at the end of his battle with Goku

but not as one of the stars of the comic.

However, Vegeta started to become a very popular character and Toriyama probably thought that appealing to the crowd would be
best.

His popularity then basically drove the rest of Dragon Ball. With plot lines and main action sequences given to him and him even

getting with Bulma and having a son. (seems about right because of how abrupt that was lol)

He thought Vegeta was useful because he could bring in a lot of fans and was easy to make action sequences for.

That could also give some credibility to statements that Toriyama didn't Love or Hate Vegeta or that he likes other

characters above him.

He probably had a direction he was going with the characters and the story but the suddenly popularity of this character caught him

off guard and although he might have had some resilience to it he gave in and gave the fans what they wanted.

That is what I make of the relationship between AT and Vegeta. Idk if it's true it's just based off of what I have heard about AT in

interviews and knowing about the overall story of Dragon Ball.

I would argue against Tenshinhan. His attitude and relationship with another character may have changed, but, for the most part, aside from giving up his bullying, he was just constantly about training with no other development or changes.

In DB , he was first a evil bully , then changed to a rival of Goku , when Roshi said Tien should take his place over. Tien then wanted sacrifice himself to King Piccolo , because he wasn't different from Piccolo in the past.
