Why would he be confident to fight one, he knows there's two and he knows that there evil androids and there not going to play nice. One of them was stronger than him and they still ganged up Future Gohan didn't know 17 was using less than a half power against him. Thats why he thought he was condifent to beat them 1 on 1.

I'm arguing he wasn't by much. Reread my post and come at me again.

I didn't say it was irrelevant because it has nothing to do with the subject. I said it was irrelevant because I don't understand how that's supposed to refute everything else I showed you..AT could've written the scene better, so what? It doesn't change the fact that Trunks is suddenly closer to the future androids than he was before. Besides, the purpose of the quote is simply to illustrate that Freeza is still stronger than Tien. Without that, the number of people who try to suggest humans > Freeza would double or something. Not every line has to be written out to imply one thing which is covered just fine in other lines. MasterGohan5 You don't know that foreshore, and there isn't any way of knowing 17 charges, Gohan is shown deathly scared, 18 just smiles, few panels later, he's dead. Why assume 18 did anything when there's no good reason to? 17 has it under control and 18 thinks it's hilarious. That's it.

I'm not sure how stronger than a SSJ the androids were, but it is implied that they could take out a SSJ easily. I personally believe the fight between 18 and Vegeta doesn't confirm Vegeta wasn't much weaker than 18, simply for the fact that 18 never really seemed to give her all to the fight. Proof of that is that she never once used Ki Blasts during the fight.

Google Chrome and Firefox	Android 18 was not as strong as 17, but she was indeed stronger than Vegeta Ssj. She took out both Ssj Vegeta and Ssj Trunks without much struggle. Trunks even said it himself that his sword was never damaged as much as when he fought the 18 from the DBZ timeline. His sword cracked when he tried to hit her in the arm. The 18 was much stronger in the timeline where everyone was still alive. Also, is this Piccolo before he fused with Kami or after? Edited by Pookie, Jan 20 2013, 03:13 AM.

That if they see them as a 'not special' opponent which also can means that they are no match against them. This was when Vegeta transformed into ASSJ: No.18: “Amazing…! Do you think he only pretended to be weak when he fought me?” As 18 admits here , that Vegeta was a 'weakling' to her , means she totally dominated the fight..

No the quote was to denote the large gap between Frieaza and the andriods: Andriods>>Trunks>>frieza Yes, but still theres nothing implying trunks got an increase. You say trunks said he could fight the andriods fairly well after the 3 years, But thats basically the same as what he told goku ''but unfortunately…In any case, I’m up against two of them…Even fighting one-on-one, I could barely manage to escape…” You mentioned tien implying them(trunks, goku and vegeta) to being not far apart in power. which I actually agree with (although I think tien was just being simplistic when he said that)but why would trunks need an increase to be a moderate distance from vegeta?
