And you explain the bruises Nappa had after kikoho.
Nappa's reaction to kikoho:''Whoah, don't scare me like that''.Also, the moment of the firing,he got a scared expression.
Nappa's reaction to massenko:''2800 huh?'' and he smiles.
Nappa's reaction to the Kikoho is one of surprise because he's not sure what's happening. When he's inside the blast, it's just like anybody else's reaction when they don't know what the fak is happening. He's smiling afterward with his armor damaged and some cuts. He didn't mention anything about being hurt. It was basically, "*****, I thought that would be bad, but it ended up not being anything special."

Nappa remarks that his hand stings after deflecting Gohan's Masenko.

What's the difference?

MSSjin Gohan's forehead was cut open against Cell, yet his Ki was not stated to have changed. Cell's lip was busted open from MSSjin Gohan's kick, yet his Ki didn't falter.

Cuts do not mean any significant or noticeable damage has been received.

Nappa's hand stinging didn't drop his chi either.

No, but it produced a more noticeable effect than Ten's Kikoho.

To me,kikoho had a more noticeable effect.So,we've reached a dead end.We can't agree.

What was the point of the Masenko scene, then?

What was the point of Z fighters fighting Nappa, since they knew they'd lose?

I'm not sure how. Explain it to me, sir. I'm a little stupid.

If Gohan's massenko was meaningless, because it was weaker than kikoho, then so was the whole fight Z fighters vs Nappa, because they
knew they were weaker than Nappa,so they should just surrender.

If they surrendered they probably would have died anyway. Better to go down fighting if you ask me.
