It is a common misconception that fans forced Toriyama to make Goku the hero. But Toriyama has stated in an interview that he himself felt Gohan wasn't fit for the role of the hero.

I've seen all your posts , and its all about criticizing Buu saga and DBZ without giving arguments or reasons , and if you give its so weak and hilarious.

If you don't like Buu saga , its fine. But don't troll in each topic about "Buu saga sux" , Everytime you're gonna say this , Im gonna counter it.

Misconception: A view or opinion that is incorrect based on faulty thinking or understanding.

People had a tendency to believe that AT made Goku the hero due to fan's reaction when in reality, he states in an interview (one that can be provided too) that he had always intended to make Goku the hero.

Therefore, the belief that Gohan was supposed to be the hero and Akira Toriyama gave into fan's demand is a misconception.

Logic FTW!

And yes, it's AT's word, you know...the mangaka of Dragon Ball. <_<

Akira Toriyama said it was his own decision to make Goku the hero as he did not feel Gohan was right for the role.

What more proof do you need? This is the guy who wrote the story.

And then the Cell arc ended. Did you think that everyone felt you would put Gohan into the leading role?

I intended to put Gohan into the leading role. It didn’t work out. I felt that compared to Goku, he was ultimately not suited for the part.
