How would Dragonball(throughout the whole series) have turned out if Goku and Bulma didn't meet Master Roshi?

Could he have handled all of the events that happened to him without Roshi?

What else did Roshi do for him?

Train him for the first tournament, told him to go on adventures or the second tournament; could Goku have handled the RRA, Piccolos, and all other threats that came if he didn't meet his second master, who had a big influence on his early days of training.

Yeah I think then without Roshi, Goku wouldn't have gone far. He sent him in the right direction initially, and that is what set the base to his fighting career.

He trained both Goku and Krillin to overcome the natural limits of a human (even though Goku is Saiyan). They'd probably be poop without him.

Gave him Kintoun.

That could change a series of events that happened. It's just weird how big of a change that could of caused.

Wouldn't Bulma's radar eventually lead them to Roshi?

True, but Roshi wouldn't of been as kind with Dragonball and nimbus cloud from Goku and Bulma just showing up on his doorstep when it was time to get that ball.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

I think things would have been pretty screwed at some point. I mean, Roshi was instrumental in Goku and Kuririn's success. Without the Kamehameha and a lot of his fighting influence, I doubt Goku would have been nearly as good of a fighter. Most likely, if the events in Dragonball didn't kill Goku and the Earth off, then Raditz showing up likely would do it, since Goku wouldn't have any shred of the fighting skill necessary to beat him (and he already was reliant on Piccolo to kill him as it is!)

Roshi was basically the catalyst for Goku being as strong as he was.

Roshi gave him the nimbus cloud, making his search easier (can't remember it's significance a whole lot, but meh). Roshi would've never trained him and Goku would've never learned the Kamehameha. Goku, being unable to use the Kamehameha to blast a hole for Oolong and Puar would have to live with Pilaf becoming ruler of the world (pretty sure that's how it went down).
