False advertising in Videogames

If anyone plays on steam and follows the game war z, than I think this is something you should read. The game recently went on steam while still in Alpha, which surprised me and friends I know that play the game because the game itself is an unfinished product and anyone who's played it realizes it. I wasn't expecting it to be on steam for a couple months but was happy it was getting exposure as I like supporting small gaming companies. The way they went about advertising their game through false claims on their steam page is something I can't support though. The game quickly became the top steam seller for the day it was released yesterday but soon players on steam became upset because they bought something that wasn't what it was advertised. They were expecting multiple maps in a consistant world with up to 100 player servers. What they got were 50 player servers with a single map. What's worst of all is the indifferent attitude the developer has in this interview, the way he smiles throughout the interview and blaming players for not checking details when they themselves didn't or assumed the player would. War z is now not purchaseable on steam,

I'm sorry to anyone who I recommended this game to in the other thread, it was a great concept but if this is the way the developers are going to treat a fanbase then I don't think anyone should buy it.

First of all...what do you mean with he smiles? There was no video to the link you posted. I did try to find the video to a interview, but I just found him talking about the game itself.

Well, I didn't buy it and wasn't going to, but I heard of the game. For some reason, he doesn't seem like a nice person anyways...but yea, not really good what he did there.

Also, I think that the things he said in the interview were kinda lame..."there is no release for a online game"...umm yea, ok?

I heard steam is gonna give everyone their money back, so I think it should be ok now.
