Anyone ever heard of this? I used to enjoy playing the demo and stuff when I was younger. It was a lovely challenge, and I feel it probably helps that I love programming.

Bad news for you ... I was one of last player of RF..

Roboforge Server was definetivly switched off in 2011 because lack of players (I'm not the owner of the server)

You missed the "free" era: from 2006 the game has been open sourced and you could play it for free.

If You really want you can still download the client from my web site:
"roboforge.altervista.org/downloads/roboforge_setup_1-34-03.exe".

enjoy it (if u want)

Pls note that it is just the client so You can build your robot, test them but there's no way to play on line.

PS: I decided to "black" my mirror site after server death.
