 Considering the only thing we know is that SSJ Goku is shown fighting Anubis on the cover of movie 14...and we take some wild assumption that Goku held his own against said rabbit then...

unless you think of EOZ SSj Goku went from

Buuhan>Buttenks>Ultimate Gohan>Buucolo>Super Buu~SSj3 Gotenks>SSJ Gotneks (Post)>SSJ Gotenks Pre>Base Gotenks (Pre)>~SSJ3 Goku>SSj Goku

...To Goku somehow beating all of those people...in five years or so (and that's assuming the movie takes place that far too)

Then I see Buu re-writing Ancient Egyptian history as he wrecks Anubis.

Can we consider that Goku and Vegeta were fighting Buuhan for a while in MSSJ and were losing drastically? And can we apply that in the photo MSSJ Goku is obviously trying to get the upperhand while the Purple Guy is smiling.

 Doesn't mean anything. Buuhan was toying with Goku and Vegeta and the same thing would've happened with anyone from SSj2 Pre-Majin Vegeta and stronger if Buu Arc Goku and Vegeta fought characters of those levels or higher.

Actually it does, it shows the guy is also clearly toying with Goku as well and if he wasn't so much of a treaqt how come Goku is having a hard time?

 I would say Buuhan owns. Going by the pic, he is somewhat enjoying his battle with Goku, where Goku looks to be somewhat struggling. This could only mean that Rabbit > Goku . Goku is definitely WAY below even super buu as a SSJ 1. I don't see him coming near SSJ 3 Gotenks as a SSJ.

I think it's safe to say he's on Super Buu's level because Gohan was owning Buu, and now that he has his MSSJ form again, he is stronger than before, so that's why I thinks it's reasonable to place him at least to Super Buu level.

Ok maybe I was over exaggerating a bit, but I still think there's no way Goku caught Super Buu in power in just SSJ. He was even with Kid Buu at ssj3. Kid buu is way lower than super buu in terms of power.

I know but look at it this way my point of view, why isn't Gohan fighting this god in the poster if he's massively stronger than even Goku's SSJ3 form? And remember that this is canon, I just don't think it's reasonable to have him at Kid Buu's level, and in fact I think he be Buutenks' level, since Gohan probably could have own Buutenks if he had MSSJ or SSJ2 IMVHO.

 Maybe Gohan isn't fighting in the poster, because it could be some sort of friendly tournament. Until we know more details about the plot, it will be tough to decide this.

 This fight is impossible to call. If Gohan is stated to be Mystic and then goes MSSJ and Goku is stronger than Goku is nearing Vegito levels.

Maybe...maybe not who knows lol, I doubt that they are in a tournament, MSSJ Gohan was on Broly second coming cover, just saying.

 It seems (looking at the kids) that less than two years have passed since Buu.
Ssj Goku would be ~ Ssj Goku Buu saga, Gohan is Ssj, so it means he lost is Saikyou no Senshi form, probably because it was too powerful (and AT knows well that); I have also to say that it must be clear that a Ssj Ultimate Gohan means absolutely nothing guys, because or he is Ultimate (so Ssj is useless to him) or he isn't (so he needs Ssj to power-up).
Being said that, we know nothing about this Anubi, but if he really is around Ssj Goku power, than even Good Buu would easily wreck him, let alone Buuhan.
