Anyone else wish Gohan/Goten would have challenged Goku?

I honestly would have like to seen Gohan or even Goten challenge Goku at the very end for just a friendly father-son fight. Gohan was interested to take on Goku at the tournament because it's been 7 years since they've last seen each other, so catching up on a little fighting for old time's sake can't be too bad or out of character imo.

Goku is the guy to be the hero at the, but he very well may not be the strongest. I'm sure he'd be excited that Gohan, the strongest were to take a break from his studies to challenge him, Goku would love to test his abilities. Why not against the strongest, Gohan? Gohan would probably like the father and son time spent, and fighting against Goku who's a great father, teacher, and hero to him.
That would be awesome!

I could actually see Toriyama writing it in as Goku casually taking on both of them at once and winning though :'(

Don't ever compare Vader vs Luke to Goku vs any of his sons. And by the way all the reasons you've posted result in Gohan truing evil or being jealous of Goku.

1. What was so bad about Goku staying on Yardrat Gohan had all his firends and his mother.

2. The trainning with Uub, Gohan was a grown man with a family I'm sure he cared less about Goku then and more his wife and child.
I am allowed to make any comparison I want as long as I am not being mean about it. This is a topic and people are free to express their opinions. Respect my opinion like I am yours.

The reasons I posted about Gohan going towards evil is not so. Jealousy you're right I kind of skewed into that. Someone doesn't have to be evil to challenge their parents or argue with them. It's an everyday occurrence. How many times did we see Trunks/Vegeta argue with one another. It made their relationship interesting.

Goku staying on Yadrat rather then being with his Friends/Family showed some selfishness for himself. It showed he was more focused on himself than the happiness of the people who cared about him. Why do I say that? In filler scenes, there were plenty of times Gohan looked up into the sky sad that his father had not come back.

He probably did care. It doesn't take into the account how Goten felt about it either.

@Gohan- Your scenario would work for me. I like that one the best. Very well done actually.

i mean it would be cool just some fun sparring

but i would like to see goten fight that would be cool

goku at like 5'8 and goten the short kid he is

it would be intersting and goten would learn a lot and it would be funny

@crashbreaka Goku will always be the one to pull something off at the end if really need be.

@Pookie Thank you a bunch. Really glad to hear that.

@Havoc I'm sure they have a lot of catching up to do as well, their fight would be interesting too. Gohan may still be in class while those two are going at it, or something. Goku is starting to get at that age where he's starting to become mentor-like him and Goten fighting would be awesome. With all that one on one fighting there's no telling what all Goku could teach Goten that he learned from Other World since he actually has time.

 The only way I can see Goku and Gohan fighting eachother outside of a friendly spar is either to train for a villain like they did for Cell or if a friend is endanger who Goku feels they can't help but Gohan doesn't want to sit back and watch die like when Piccolo and Tien were close to being killed by Cell.



And even then, once Gohan saw things from his father's perspective, all the conflict was resolved.

I can't see Gohan challenging Goku in the same way that Vegeta would. Gohan doesn't fight for pride of being strongest, he fights to protect those he loved. He doesn't embellish being strong, it's not in his nature. That's why he dresses up as Great Saiyaman, he wants to be a figure of justice, not a person, he doesn't want people to know who he is. He never told anyone that he was the one who destroyed Cell until Videl found out because it didn't matter to him, all that matter was that the earth was saved.
