Posts: 1,356 Group: Member Member #7,850 Joined: June 27, 2012 Favourite Anime Dragonball Favourite Manga Dragonball	How did he hold him for the self-destruct when he's vastly inferior in power to even Semi-Perfect Cell? Also how could his explosion be great enough to kill Cell without destroying the planet too? Vegeta way back in the Saiyan Saga could destroy earth with his Galick Gun but that move wouldn't even faze Cell yet a self-destruct move that the Earth is supposed to be able to survive can kill Cell?

Posts: 1,998 Group: Member Member #7,432 Joined: March 11, 2012	Bear hugs and full nelsons in general seem to be something characters use to their advantage when they can surprise a stronger enemy. Yamcha was held in one by the Saibaman and couldn't move though I'm not sure if the saibaman was much weaker or weaker at all to Yamcha. It's not canon but SS4 Goku held Omega Shenron and Super 17 in bear hugs before trying to self destruct even though both of them were much stronger.

Cell was probably paralyzed by fear, which would also explain why he managed to shake #16 off so easily when he found out he wasn't in any actual danger. The same reason Majin Vegeta's explosion didn't blow up the planet.

It bugs me that Cell's explosion was supposed to destroy earth but 16's wouldn't. Also if Cell's explosion had the power to blow up earth then why does the explosion look so small on King Kai's planet with no sign of Snake Way being damaged?

But when 16 was preparing to detonate, Cell could not move. Why couldn't 16 have just held Cell so someone could come and destroy him?

I'm not 100% sure how it works but if it works with Ki I'm sure Dr Gero could do something. As for snake way, did we ever actually see the end of it? Yeah I meant 16's bomb, sorry; was thinking about my second reply while making my first As for Cell's bomb I don't think it's literally cause an explosion so massive it'd be as big as the Earth, I'm guessing it'd be more like Buu's planet destruction so it may not have reached much of Snake Way (Which is pretty far away from King Kai's planet tbh). I'm not 100% sure on the bodies. Maybe King Kai also has the powers to restore bodies and he restored Goku's for him (And King Kai being a God just gets a new body automatically when he dies)
