How strong are guns that use energy that some of the villains use? Frieza soldiers, Android 17, and Super 17. How are the guns made so strong to give off such a strong attack, and why are they so much of a threat?

 They probably use the user's chi.

 I honestly think those gun were more powerful than regular earth guns, but I doubt they use chi. That would be incredible technology right there.
