Moreover, 18 was like the first person to beat SSJ Vegeta in a fight, which completely humilliated him as we know... how awesome would it be if Vegeta ended up growing feelings for the woman who defeated him? That could make for some really cool, emotional scenes! That being said, Krillin x Android 18 is an alright couple. "She could do better" "Android 18 should have had a relationship with Vegeta instead" How is that better? Vegeta's the least marriage material guy in the show. Krillin's actually a nice guy who doesn't really have any major personality flaws that I can remember. Anyway it did seem a bit rushed and out of nowhere but what relationship in DBZ wasn't? At least it had more development than Goku and Chichi or Vegeta and Bulma, plus most of the actual development probably happened in those 7 years. Most certainly not if you're going by the anime. Anyways, I liked the idea of Kuririn/18 because... IMO #18 is the best female character in the series, and Kuririn deserves her for all his efforts.

And 18 might not be as confident underneath that cold facade, afterall her life was ruined by being turned into a practical weapon, she may actually be only arrogant. The defitnition of arrogance is to cover insecurity with a false sense of pride. I do really like your take on this question, but everything you said are mere assumptions at the end of the day. We'll never know Krillin's past or if 18 would be more involved in fighting had she married Vegeta instead. I could easily say the opposite would happen and both opinions would be as valid, since there's no evidence to back them up. I'm definitely NOT against Krillin/Android 18 as a couple. And I love Krillin! But Android 18 was sort of introduced to us as the first woman in DBZ powerful enough to actually beat the strongest guys at the time (Goku, Vegeta, Trunks...), so in a way she was the first woman to be REALLY relevant in DBZ in terms of power. That's why I always imagined/hoped she'd end up having a relationship with Vegeta. Like I said earlier, they definitely strike me as 2 pieces of the same cloth and it would have been awesome to see them together in MY opinion, obvi. You could feel the love, at least in the anime. That being said, it was a tiny bit rushed, I agree. Though I need to say that I'd probably not like 18 and Vegeta. In fact I wouldn't put Vegeta with anyone. I may have a dislike for Vegeta, but one of the things I liked about the character was that he wasn't a relationship kind of guy, like Tien and Piccolo (if Piccolo could ever be in one). Spoiler: click to toggle (Also, I want to say that even if I respect a character more for not being a 'relationship' type, I still could support them being with another character.) I see Vegeta the way he'd probably want to be seen. A ruthless warrior only interested in pride and glory. If Android 18 was never with Krillin, then I think it would make more sense for her to be with one of the other humans, probably. It'd certainly be entertaining. The human in question might become more relevant to the later plot. But as for who... She's interested in money, and she enjoys fashion and she probably knows how to drive a car. Her and Yamcha would probably do well together. They both know how to fight yet can enjoy a normal life, and they're both attractive in-universe respectively. I can see it happening, She's also aloof and tough, with a certain fierceness about her. That might go well with Tien. Hell, he saved her once from Semi Perfect Cell. That probably has more merit than Krillin destroying the control device. Her and Tien could easily train and it would be funny to watch them be so similar in attitude yet different in interests. Krillin destroyed the remote out of love for her, while Tien only stopped Cell because he didn't want Cell to get powerful (Which is a good reason but not for what you're trying to say)

He had feelings, yes, but that's a digression. What I meant was, from an Android 18 perspective (who didn't realize Krillin did it out of feelings/love), she saw Tien actively trying to save her, while Krillin pretty much just didn't kill her himself. I'd be more indebted to Tien, if I were in her situation. Though, I agree with what you meant as well. Krillin did it out of caring for her. Edited by POOHEAD189, Oct 23 2012, 01:55 PM.

Hey, don't worry, never said you didn't like Krillin, I like hearing people's opinion's. As for Tien being with 18 well, I think he already has what he needs with Launch, sure we never see them together in Z but... As for Broly, I don't know, their similar occupations in hunting Kakarrot might bring them togethor but once Broly goes crazy well, 18 probably won't want a relationship anymore. Opera Favourite Manga DBZ	Truthfully I don't wanna sound like a Krillian <3 Android 18 fan but I don't mind the relationship. Though I think GT pushed it to hard (Again I hated Dragon Ball GT but that is besides the point >.> ). Though what really pissed me off about the series was that Android 17 was still alive and he never did *** with his sister after that. That is what pissed me off about the relationship. It was like if Android 17 wasn't important enough once she fell in love with a human. Though the Android 18 and Vegeta I must say the would be the worst thing ever. Having an abusive *** with him would not slide. He would have ended up killing her XD . Though A Lesbian moment between her and bulma would have been cool :P (<Perv)
