What if Cell had miscalculated and touched the ground?

Supposedly the rules were the same as the tournament and if you touched the ground you lose and Cell even taunted Goku with doing so, my question is what if Cell had miscalculated and actually touched it? Would he had conceded? Would he had retreated?

Lol, of course he would't retreat. He's a diabolical evil person who enjoys to kill.
I don't think a couple of Tournament rules would make him stop his goal.

Would've been interesting to find out. Was it Goku or Cell that decided to take the fight out of the ring? I always thought that was cool, adding another variable to the fight, forcing them to adjust their styles to the ring.

I think he would've accepted that he had broken the rules. He does have some sense of honor. And it was him who decided to change the rules and destroy the ring, which I think supports that he would've stepped out of the tournament if he had stepped outside the ring. He didn't want to risk that again so he changed the rules.
I know he said he would destroy Earth if he won the tournament but.. what if he hadn't won and he was still alive? Like with this scenario. I mean.. what would he have done? I suppose he would have tried again in a different format but.. it's interesting to think about.

I reckon he would have conceded defeat and then proceed to start fighting seriously.

Cell would have destroyed the Ring and said that a fight like this can't end on a ring out and Goku would have agreed.

Goku might have even destroyed the ring himself.

Well to be honest he only wanted to show that he was the strongest, I think among the villains he was the less dangerous if he actually won because he himself said he had no plan, merely wanted to prove he was the strongest.

Cell said several times if Goku couldn't beat him he was going to destroy the Earth.

I know Cell would have followed through and actually done it
but I honestly think he mostly said that just to get them to fight at their best. He wanted the ultimate challenge and knew that with everything on the line he would get what he wanted.

Couple of different things could happen.

But I don't know if Cell would admit his defeat. I can see him doing it, but at the same time I can't. I'm thinking of the Gohan fight where he completely lost it due to being overpowered, but he wouldn't really be overpowered right here I guess.
He'll wriggle around it for sure though. Find some way to keep it going.

I really don't see him backing down and taking the loss. He's been waiting for that moment forever, being in the ring with the likes of Goku, accomplishing his android goal and getting his fighting in.

Cell has been close to death a few times to absorb the androids, as well as the couple wild goose chases wild goose chases he's been through, lastly the effort he put into making the tournament. Him going through all that, I can't see him giving up so easily if he was to accidentally step out, but he does have a personality that makes me think different sometimes.

I'm guessing he'd congratulate Goku for winning the match, then blow up the ring and say it's just an all out fight.

Cell gets mad, goes full power, buries Goku & remaining Z-Fighters with a Super Kamehameha, thus, obliterating himself, his opponents, & the Earth.

I think it would be counted as a loss and he would accept it but, then go on a rampage because it wasn't a game anymore. More so then he did when they fought in it.
