My theory about Goku, Old Kai and SS3

 When Goku returns to earth alive and goes SS3 to fight Buutenks he is strangely able to transform instantly while earlier against Fat Buu it took a long time. He also transforms really fast against Kid buu.

I was thinking that because Old Kai gave Goku the life left inside him and because Kai's live for generations that Goku could now have a REALLY long life ahead of him like the Kai's.

Having a much longer life could lessen the negative effects of SS3 and also make the strain less dangerous and make it easier to transform faster. If this is the case then he'll outlive Gohan and Vegeta for sure.

In fact this is even supported by the end of GT if you want to count that because Goku is able to still be alive and looking young after 100 years. Thoughts?

This could definitely be a possibility, but here is my theory:

To me the reason why Goku took so long to turn into a SSJ3 vs Fat Buu, was to stall for time. Remember he was stalling for Trunks. If he could drag that out as long as he could, Trunks would have more time to get the Dragon Radar.

That is just my theory.

 Every 1st SSJ transformation takes long. Goku's SSJ3 transformation was much shorter in universe.

 I think Goku purposely took his time with the transformation vs Fat Buu because he was only stalling. Or maybe he hadn't used the form in a while but when he did it agaisnt Buutenks it had only been 3 days since he last used it (and then a few hours for Kid Buu)

It even took him a minute to do it in front of the boys too. But just like the rest of the transformations as they are used more its easier to transform into them later on. Stalling and performing are the main two in my book for who it took so long the first couple of times though.

Not just that, but that was the first time Goku used SS3 in the living world...so, it's completely possible that's also another reason why Goku took so long Transforming.

OT: You do kinda hafta consider that Goku was dead when going SSJ3 @ Fat Boo, so it would logically be easier for him than it would against Super or Kid Boo, hence why I think Clearin's idea works best.

 Well it's possible that it was down to him not using it for a while. But that would imply he'd had the form for quite some time and it just wouldn't be like Goku to not train and get used to the form if he'd had it a while. I know Toriyama probably had dramatic effect in mind but my theory does add some actual in-universe logic to it.

Putting SS3 aside for a moment does anyone else think that Goku would have a super long life now?
