Why do you think AT decided to bring Uub in at the very end? He could have easily ended it with the Spirit Bomb or the final battle between Goku and Vegeta or something like that. What was so important about Uub and the idea of him? I thank GT for giving him parts in the story to have some relevance.

I dunno; he musta wanted Goku to have a badass moment @Kid Boo, so he added in the coming back stuff, and ofc, he had to live up to it. But I didn't like how Goku just left to train Uub for lolz (I know, to protect the Earth and whatnot, but phooey).

I'd have wanted Goku to just be content that Uub existed and invite him to train with Goku, rather than Goku going to train Uub, or something, and then end it off with Goku VS Vegeta. Goku going to go live with Uub for a few years was unnecessary IMO.

Yeah I feel that it shouldn't just end like that. There's only so much training they can do it's not like a threat like Buu would rise again. Things seemed pretty stable from then on out.

Maybe he just wanted some room for another saga should he choose to do so.

Goku is a bad parent lols. He has more time for someone elses kid then his own (Goten).

Yeh, that's true. If he was gonna train someone, might as well train Goten....

My guess is that Toriyama wanted to end the story on Goku being a mentor, the guy who has gone through the story having multiple different teachers has suddenly become one himself.

Still, they could have done it at Goku's house. He didn't have to leave his family again.

I can go with Goku becoming a mentor, actually I like the idea of that the best. But he kinda just ran off again and I would of like to have seen him train either Goten or Pan to become Earth's next savior.

I believe Toriyama wanted the story to continue with a new ''Goku'', with the fans thinking it's not over even if Goku dies.
Let's just say Uub is Goku's ''heir'', a new ''Goku'' in some way i can't explain and makes me cry :'(

Keep on livin' Goku, even after you die :P

Uub doesn't have the marketability like Goku does though, a DBZ without Goku wouldn't do well at all.

I agree. I think it would've been cooler to see Oob fitting into the Son lifestyle than Goku fitting into Oob's.

What would Uub's family think about that though?
