ok, why? i dont need explanations for the manga. Its self explanatory.

it would seem more like rules and regs set up for a trading card game or an MM like D&D or something.

even the video games got in on th action, those are toei made also, so then that means the info they give is relevant also.
filler or not.

Eh? The video games have no bearing on what actually occurred in the series.

The guidebooks aimed at the manga just elaborate and clarify things that were either vague or left unanswered.

Hm, I just remembered.

Cell's regeneration cannot be based on Piccolo's.

Piccolo needs his head for regeneration. He can't regenerate from microscopic parts, unless you think he also has a core. Which isn't elaborated upon.

Honestly, I'm still calling it a plothole due to unfounded theories. Seriously doubt Toriyama had any of that in mind when he wrote it.

I usually go with "Piccolo's whole head is his 'core'", since it essentially acts that way. Cell just takes it to another level, I guess.

the video game bios say the same stuff the daiz and guidebooks say about the characters, like yamucha playing ball, and other useless things.

Toei made series, toei made game, toei made books.

Except Toei had nothing to do with the Daiz until 6 and 7.

The rest are completely made from people who worked with Toriyama on DBZ and organizational groups.

Edit:

Look who's listed as Daiz Author.

Eh? Akira Toriyama is the only one who's credited as being an author?

That's interesting.

He still could have just written a load of random stuff though.

Or maybe it means that the Daiz solely got their info from the manga only, which was written by AT, save for the exceptions Grid mentioned before (the times when many worked on it at once, the few Daiz books that cater specifically to TOEI productions, etc.)

What you write seems familiar.......

As does what I shall now write....

But the Daiz has stuff blatantly contradicting the manga

True, but like I said, those are those exceptions Grid mentioned. All it means is that the Daiz shouldn't be held with the same reverence as the manga, but it shouldn't be tossed aside with the anime or fanslations either.

So Daiz is basically fan opinion. Wasn't that the whole point of Mr. Gridzero posting that AT is credited as the author? To show that it isn't just fan opinion?

I don't think we agree on what fan opinion means, then.
