Posts: 1,356 Group: Member Member #7,850 Joined: June 27, 2012 Favourite Anime Dragonball Favourite Manga Dragonball	I was just wondering if its possible for someone to be much physically superior to someone else but inferior in terms of power. Something that got me thinking was Piccolo's line against 17. This was in the dub and probably was not in the manga but it was interesting. The part were he says to 17 "Goku punches harder than you". We know that Goku is a great martial artist with years of training and perfecting his punching technique while 17 is an Android created with endless stamina and a massive power level that was much higher than Goku's at the time. The thing is that 17, while more powerful hasn't trained a day in his life and would have a less perfected punching technique. The likes of Tien could also have a great punch because he seemed to spend the most time of all the Z Fighters focusing on technique rather than just gaining power.
	"The future of Gohan. The Future of Chi Chi. Not to mention the future of the entire universe. It all depends on me!!!! And I don't care if you're a million times stronger than me! I'm not going to let them down! So get ready Frieza because this time you're going Down!!!"

The same could also apply to Fat Buu who was a poor fighter but extremely powerful and dangerous.

Posts: 9,150 Group: Member Member #5,265 Joined: September 24, 2010 Gender Not Specified Favourite Anime dragonball/z/gt/movies What Browser do you use? internet explorer or firefox	at lower levels, physical ability makes a huge difference. there comes a point, though, that it just doesn't matter anymore. for example, kid trunks is physically much weaker than trunks saga vegeta, because he has difficulty with 150 gravity, while we never see vegeta at anything other than 300 until the buu arc, and even then, it appeared that vegeta was nearing the end of his workout. however, trunks, goten, and especially gotenks were capable of fighting at the same level as anyone else in their power range, even the adults who are at their physical peak, because at that point power and skill are the only relevant factors, and skill is just barely relevant.
	list of canon sources: the DB manga, and the Dr. Slump manga as it applies to the crossover during the rra saga. list of non canon sources: everything else, regardless of origin, format, or quality. for those that blindly follow word of god

Even if Piccolo can punch harder it isn't that big a deal to the outcome of the fight, especially considering 17's infinite stamina.
