It's not about my feelings or for me, personally I'm not too worried what members think of me. And even if the other Staff members aren't too worried what other members say about them in general, I care. Because I know a lot of these staff members defend members, try to help out members, just for me to go back on the forum and see staff get attacked for no good reasons.

How is it immaturity? Did I say anything about "bad members" though it becomes hard to support a forum when staff are constantly being attacked, including something that they are working and discussing for the members.

I clearly don't see how it is being immature, if members can't even handle a discussion without attacking the staff then why should they be rewarded? I don't see it as the whole forum being punished for it, since not the whole forum probably even cares that a Spam Archive exists, if I really felt it was something that the whole forum would be solely affected by I'd still support it.
It's part of being a staff member. Mods wouldn't be needed in the first place if people weren't going to misbehave lol.

Immature might be bad terminology on my part, so I'll apologize there, but I will say it's a bad mentality for a staffer to have. Criticism is needed for staff. That's why we have a complaint section and an anonymous feedback section.

All I'm saying is staff attacking is normal. Hell it happens all the time here from everyone including staff themselves. Nothing wrong with it unless it's just baseless bickering. Two of my best online friends are Rogue and Tim but I 'attack' them all the time when they do something on the forum i disagree with because I care about the forum in general. I couldn't even list the times because there are so many. If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen as they say.

Also there is a fundamental difference in being rewarded and being unpunished lol. We're off an a huge tagent thanks to me so I'll stop replying >_> sorry guys.

That I can respect, i admit it wasn't the right thing to say on my part.

However what I mean by attacking is not exactly disagreeing. Disagreeing is one thing attacking is another thing.

I'm sure you tend to go more the way disagree instead of attacking with Rogue and Tim.

As on Topic it is being discussed, the census seems to favor Spam Archive, I'm sure it'll have a little clean up, but I'm sure more news will come once a decision is made.

There's usually nothing wrong with that until someone with power 'gets attacked' and then punishes an entire forum for it. It just doesn't make sense and I encourage you to worry more about the benefit of the forum as a whole to a few members who attacked you or hurt your feelings or w/e.
The problem is that when there are things that can't be moderated (dislikes) or take more time than should be put in (spam section), the only thing to do is remove those, yes it's punishing everyone for the actions of the few, but sometimes, that's all that can really be done.

We want to work on rewarding the members who do good for the forum and we are looking into ways to do that.

Either way I'm glad this topic was made. I can deal with the staff here doing as they please most of the time because even if they're wrong I think Rogue and Tim always do what they think is right and that's good enough for me. Also, appreciate the staff that spoke out honestly in this topic. Just wanted to say that before it's probably locked since the OP has been answered. Good discussion.

Firstly, I want to say that topics usually get locked when the discussion has dried up and posts coming after are borderline spam and nothing is being achieved but this topic still seems to have a bit of life left.

I am always honest when I speak about the forum, but I don't often do so, as you might have noticed, I've not made the most elegant of posts here lol. I avoid making comments because I know I am stubborn and confrontational, most people know this and that is why Tim handles most of the people stuff.

I do or make suggestions based on what I think is good for the forum and the majority of the members, without members, there is no forum, it's not my goal to cut people off or make people feel unwelcome, I would like it if people did bring problems with the forum to me, but most people don't, I know some reasons why, but there's not much I can do about it.

Anyone is free to PM me, I never ignore them, if it's gibberish, I might not respond but I will have read it.

I recognise this topic is drifting off topic now but I'll leave it open for a little longer and see where it leads.
