Stefan Struve started off even with his opponent but near the end of the round started dominating him until he earned a KO.

Posts: 1,998 Group: Member Member #7,432 Joined: March 11, 2012	Definitely could see that happening. Gustaphson looks great, has big power and reach advantage over Shogun. Shogun has a tendency to go straight forward with flurries, could get caught coming in. Shogun's chin is like granite though, he took so many shots in the Hendo fight and in the Jones fight. Idk if Shogun will be able to get the fight to the floor if he wanted to, neither is known for their wrestling and Gustaphson is alot bigger. Shogun might have an advantage in bjj. I'd like to see how Gustaphson does against Jones and I feel he has one of the best shots because he's relatively young, still developing as a fighter like Jones and he has a similar frame. But I'm worried that even if he wins against Shogun that he might not be ready for fight against Jones, I think UFC is doing a good job of bringing him up in the division and maybe he should have one more fight against another big name if he wins.

He got into a minor motorcycle accidenta nd now is out of the fight at UFC 153 against Frankie Edgar. Was the fight I was most anticipating for the year probably. Who do you guys think takes it when it does happen? Personally Jose Aldo is is probably the top p4p in my opinion. He's got good power in his hands, good wrestling, great bjj, his muay thai is fantastic and he's a great athlete. The pictures Urijah Faber posted after their fight of the giant bruises on his thighs were pretty startling. Edited by Pylons, Oct 3 2012, 06:18 PM.

Either you can beat him up? or you cant.

Posts: 1,998 Group: Member Member #7,432 Joined: March 11, 2012	Shogun is so much better under pride rules in my opinion, especially because of stomps. Same with Wanderlei with soccer kicks. I was really surprised when Shogun ko'ed Lyoto, didn't expect that at all.

Will be an interesting bout no doubt though. I wouldnt put him as my #1 P4P but he's certainly top 3.

This is the fight I really want to see but like GSP Silva, it'll probably never come to fruition. http://sportv.globo.com/site/eventos...l#canal-sportv Translation: "People are talking so much about this... I don't have intentions of fighting Jones, there's nothing driving me to it, since there are other athletes in my team, like Rogerio, Maldonado, Feijão, that fight in his weight. My weight is 185, that's my title. But people talk so much, and in the end we are UFC employees. Sure, I can say I don't want to fight him, but what if he accepts the money Dana offers him to persuade him into fighting? It will be hard for me not to take the fight. It's not the money that motivates me to fight, I do it because I like it. So I don't know... I wouldn't like to do it. But, if it is to happen, it would have to be on catchweight. Not putting his belt on the line. I already have my own, and I don't want to hold a title to just leave it there." I think it's sort of messed up honestly for Anderson to ask for a catch weight fight when he's fought at 205 3 times in the past. Jones can't really get much lower than 205 and if he did, he'd be completely drained from cutting weight and it'd take away from the fight. The next season of TUF is Jones vs Sonnen, which seems like a waste of time, as this'll put the LHW belt on hold for another 6 months and after those 6 months he'll be fighting another MW. I'd like to see him fight Gustaffson or Glover Texiera. Did anyone else catch UFC 154 the other night? The fights were incredible. Actually enjoyed the main card more than the main event, Maldonado vs Texiera was a brutal bout.

Especially since silva is calm and reserved, and jones fights like a street fighter character.

I would love to see that matchup though. Those 2 are arguably the 2 best in preparation for a fights in MMA. Would be interesting to see what their strategies would be.
