Not immediately after he got the first. Maybe sometime in the future, if you believe his potential would increase over time again. |

Not right away. Maybe after a long while. Gohan's potential was brought beyond his limits, so I think it'd take a while for it to "reset." |

Wow I thought when there was a limit, there was a limit. That happened with the Guru unlock too. So if it resets possible for him to go SSJ again? |

DBZ has shown time and time that this isn't the case. Anyways, if dormant power grows in him again, then yeah, sure. |

Maybe it's like Teen Titans with how Cyborg was able to go beyond his limit of 100% and went as high as 130-140% I think in his fight with Atlas. |

Maybe that's the explanation for him being able to transform in GT then. It resets while him training according to GT Perfect Files so I see no problem with that in GT. |

i don't think so. every character to get a full potential release, and then be shown to have even more potential, was a child at the time of the first release. goku drank the holy water at 15, and clearly had not yet hit puberty. gohan got a partial potential release from guru, unlocking about 1/4 of his true power (he was still able to get rage boosts immediately after, so it definitely wasn't a full release). 4 years later, he's able to transform into an ssj, then get a partial potential release through training, and still have enough dormant ability left to go ssj2. gohan was 17 when he received the mystic ritual, so i doubt that he would develop any significant amount of dormant ability afterwards, since he was just about done with physical growth. |

DBZ has shown us over and over that limits are just another line to cross. Vegeta's potential was supposed to be brought out to it's limits with the Majin spell, right? Yet EoZ Vegeta >>> Boo Saga Vegeta, whether you want to believe in the bloated EoZ powers or not. It's not like Gohan is stuck at that one power forever, although the chances of his dormant power actually growing are probably unlikely. Edited by Kyouks, Oct 13 2012, 08:45 PM.

Ultimate Gohan= the strongest Gohan can get ever. Goku and Vegeta and more so Goku have shown that while Gohan's potential is higher Goku's is ever growing. I'm starting to believe that when Gohan's potential is stated as higher than Goku's it was due to the Z time period and when Gohan was born. Goku was a 416 in power Gohan had to potentail to get to over 1,000. Once GT rolled around I think Goku's potential might have gone over Gohan. |

that's not how potential (also called hidden power, true power, or dormant ability) works. potential is the amount of power that you currently have but can't normally use. it is based on a real phenomenon where your brain limits the amount of force your muscles can exert, so that you don't accidentally hurt yourself. it's why, during an adrenaline rush, you actually become stronger and faster than normal. in dragonball, potential is the same concept, but magnified greatly and applied to ki. it has nothing to do with how strong you can become, but with how strong you really are right now. Chapter: 488 (DBZ 294), P4.9, P5.1-2 Context: after Gohan’s unintentional display of power Goku: “…Am…amazin’…So he really wasn't just some regular dirty old geezer?...*talking to Kaioshin* ‘Do-dormant ability’…That’s a person’s true power, that they have hidden all along…Right?” Kaioshin: “Ye-yeah…I-I think so…” Goku: “Mu-must be…Man, Go-Gohan…Just how the heck much power is he hidin'?...” |

This is only a theory of mine. But, Gohan's hidden powers increase while his age and power increase as well, so his hidden powers have an analogical sence. From a kid to adult we only saw his hidden powers come out of the shadows now and then, until he reached ssj2 against Cell (Guru unlocking Gohan's hidden potential doesn't count, if you are wondering why, ask me). At that time his hidden powers had been awoken totally and freely of Gohan's will. While he was growing up to an adult his control over his hidden powers was being lost through the prosess (due to he hadn't been training or fighting at all). Although his hidden powers had secretly been getting stronger while his age grew and maybe some strenght increased. That was untill he unlocked his hidden potential once again with Elder Kai's help. Eventualy he will ''lose'' his hidden potential again and get another boost to awaken again. I doupt that would ever happen in the DBuniverse but anyway. So his hidden potential never stays there forever, unless the person's mental state is always the same and trains always the same, which is impossible for a person. |
