I'd rather they didn't. Its way more fun coming up with this ***** myself :p

But in all seriousness, I don't think they will. DBZ is an old series, and its been ages since something has been released.

^^^
my words. there is no need. especially since they are inconsistant and should only be made by the creator, who doesnt care. Anyone elses idea would be just opinion and not fact.

I agree. If it's not straight from the creator, himself then I see no need. I feel like anyone or anything that does it besides him still wouldn't be as perfect as if was to come straight from him.

It would answer a lot of things on here that has been being debated forever but at the same time I feel it would take a lot of fun out of everything as well.

Wait a minute, I'm a little bit confused. Are you two saying that the power levels "officially" stated are inconsistent unless stated by Akira Toryiama, himself?

They're saying nobody but AT can make new power levels, or they won't be accepted by the community.

I kind of agree. If someone made new power levels that worked and were approved by AT, I don't think I'd have much of a problem with them. If they didn't work (like Perfect Cell being 450,000,000 or something) then I'd put them in with the rest of the AT-approved guidebook numbers that aren't very smart.

What I really meant was kinda like this.. I enjoy the anime I guess it's kind of close to the manga but it's not the manga itself. Not his original work. Therefore, if were going to get some power levels that could take a lot of our fun debates away I would rather them come straight from him. Just to be 110% sure.

But if he says "Yeah they are okay" I have no choice but to go by them because the writer himself Okay-ed them. What am I gonna do disagree with him anyway? I think not.

they didn't because it would get stupid.
I also think they did it because Akira wanted to have more freedom with the villains and not have the battles be just about who has more zeros on their power level.

I don't find it stupid IMO, it could solve ALOT of our questions, and it could also save us the trouble of making our own power level lists

Plus it could also prevent us from making flamed verses threads like Broly and Buu.

Even if AT approved of them, we know he doesn't give a crap about numbers.

I doubt it'll happen; DBZ is old as heck, if they were planning to, they would've. Not to mention that almost no one would go by them anyways, unless they actually made sense (which I'm sure wouldn't happen).

I think levels past the Frieza arc could work...but only if done with great care, and whoever did them actually took their time, and not some rubbish quick job on them due to some deadline. I think that's the only way it would work, and only if AT approved of them, or if done by someone who has a true DBZ Manga knowledge...not some Anime biased know it all.

I really wouldn't mind if AT himself decided since he's in involvement in the movie that he might as well check back up on his own story, refresh his memory about everything and complete his power level list after Frieza.

^I hope not, that'd end every debate ever. Better to keep it as it is, IMO, and I'm honestly 100% sure (99.99%, so no one sues me) that AT wouldn't do that, nor would he really want to.
