@F: Perhaps not all "destinies". But many are in a sense. Your dad meeting your mom indirectly (or it could've been direct....) led to their marriage after some time. That led to you being born. A more complicated one.... You make the decision to go to an ice cream shop. This occurred 'cause you were hungry.  You meet a nice girl there who you've seen here and there at school. This occurred because you chose to go to the ice cream shop. You two strike up a conversation. This occurred because you've seen each other at school sometimes (and there's no one else at the shop). You and her exchange numbers. This occurred because you two talked. You two call/text every now and then, soon everyday. This occurred because you got her number. You two hang out more and more often. This occurred because you two text more and more often. You ask her out. This occurred because you two hang out much more now. You have your first kiss some time later. This occurred because you've dated. You take her to senior prom at high school. This occurred because you've kissed and dated (relationship gets heated). You two do the *boom chicka wowwa* in a hotel after and after-party because you took her to prom. You keep contact at colleges. This occurred because of the relationship build-up. You ask for her hand at marriage. This occurred because of the relationship build-up. You have kids. This occurred because of the marriage. Completely hypothetical, maybe a little unlikely given the break-up rates in high school, but all that because you went to the ice cream shop. Actually, it'd trace back before that...you were hungry. There was a reason for your hunger. A reason for your choice of an ice cream shop, and so on. I'm saying that once the 1st cause (knocking down a domino) has happened the last cause is also definitely going to happen (the 99th domino falling) and therefore the last effect is going to happen (the 100th domino falling). Once the 1st cause happens, the following knock on effects are inevitable, and therefore it can be called destiny. |

It's not exactly destiny, And it's not exactly ''what I believe'' in. But I think life is already set as in the future. I dont believe in ''future can change''. Anything you do will happen, THAT'S A FACT 100%, future doesn't change, future exactly is anything you do in the present. Future never changes, future is always steady. So think that your future is set no matter what, BUT it is according to your actions, your thought, your capabilities etc. So this isn't destiny exactly, it's a form of reality, and ''a God matter'' let's say. |
