I had a thing for the old Pokemon Black. It was a card game but with the same story line as the Pokemon games except with Cards. For some reason my brother played it and got me addicted to it >.> |

Red because it's my favorite color and Charizard is the cover Pokemon. I loved that game. But honestly, Gold was more enjoyable. |

Well out of the listed options it's obviously crystal when it comes to gameplay. The games only get better with each generation, you really can't deny that since each one is just the same as the last one but greatly improved. Gen 1 itself may have had some of the best pokemon (Imo) but the game itself was a broken glitchy mess, everything was unbalanced as hell. Especially the psychic type, it demolished everything and it had only "2" weaknesses: Bug - Only like 1 bug move in the entire game which had extremely low base accuracy and only about 2 pokemon could learn it (One of which was weak to psychic types anyway) Ghost - A glitch actually made it so ghost couldn't hurt psychic at all, and even then the only ghost move had 20BP and the only ghost pokemon were also weak to psychic. Yeah gen 1 was really a horrible game, if you wanna play through kanto you're better off with the remakes. |

Silver ftw Crystal was ***** They barley changed anything From gold and silver Well it wasnt ***** but more of a 2% upgrade They added minimal story And tey made it so u cant catch suicune till after u beat elite 4 which sucks Silver cause of of adv it was compared to rby More pokes, moves ect.. |

Crystal, Gold, Yellow. Crystal and GOld because of the legendary pokemon you could capture and the going between two regions to battle Gym Leaders. Yellow because as someone stated you could get all three original starter pokemon without trading and it was pretty awesome to have all three in your party, leveling them up and evolving them. And if you manage to add a few more awesome pokemon to your team you're basically going through the game being epic. |

Gold for me, my original save file is still on it and sometimes I whip it out, cycle around and say hello to people, oh the fact you got 16 badges and could battle red made that game Gotta say though, thought Black/White were my favourites since Gen 1 and 2 |

Blue for being blue, and my 1st 1. It's also a more advanced version that Red, although only slightly. My red hate knew no bounds as a child. Blue ranger>red ranger. Yellow was cool at the time because of pikachu following you, and having all the starters since they were the pokemon off TV, but now I think it's quite boring. I prefer to catch pokemon, not get given them. Yes, I know you can put Bulbasaur/Squirtle/Charmander in the PC (somehow) but those 3 are just so awesome and classic that I can't bring myself to do it. Crystal was great, and is probably my current favourite of the 1st 2 generations. Sure, maybe it wasn't much ahead of Gold, but I think you could catch more legendaries right? And the story was slightly better I think, so stand alone it's better than Gold or Silver. As for new games not being as good....I think that Black/White is possibly the best set yet (not sure about White/Black 2 yet though since it's still only officially in Japanese). The plot was so much better than any of the old gens I've played (I haven't played much of gen 4). However, I thought the choice of long-term strong pokemon you could get early on was pretty limited. |
