All I know is it was hard for Cell to catch Gohan a few times and when he did he barley hurt him. Just scrapes and bruises nothing too bad.

All I know is it was hard for Cell to catch Gohan a few times and when he did he barley hurt him. Just scrapes and bruises nothing too bad. That's true, but FP Perfect Cell powers up after that, when Gohan goes SSJ2. So I was wondering if it was a huge powerup or just enough to put him within range to decimate the MSSJs. He called Goku a worthy challenge, so I don't think he's, like, 3x stronger or anything though.

However there is nothing to say Gohan was at full power as a MsSJ either like Goku was, as Cells attacks be it the blasts or bearhugs did no damage, yet a kick from Gohan made Cells body shake to he fell. Gohan as a MSSJ had no real rhyme or reason to want to fight him or stop him, he hadn't hurt his friends, he hadn't seen him kill,meh didn't care abut the androids he absorbed which were meant to kill everyone eh cared about, so there was literally nothing making him say I want to fight Cell and I want to use my power

Gohan powers up and shows he is stronger than Goku. No one says Gohan is at full power including Hohan, as noone knows what his full power is. The only time Gohan even got slightly interested in striking Cell, he powered up for an instant and shook Cell to the point he knocked him flat with one kick. Before then Gohan never threw a strike and he never attacked, he powered up with an aura for one kick and Cell was floored worse than anything Goku could do sans IT Kamehameha. You don't barely get scratches like he did from Cell bear hugging and blasting him, if you are at full power. Cell did no damage to him and Gohan wasn't overwhelmed or impressed by what Cell was putting out. All we know is that Cell had to use full speed to match MSSJ Gohans speed. We don't know what level of strength MSSJ Gohan had other than higher than Gokumas he onl decided to show off his speed to avoid fighting, and the only strength glimpse we get is him taking no damage from Cell and showing he could knock him flat with a burst of concentrated power. I say Gohan was Supressed even then and had energy he was saving for his reserves, just like Cell was holding back. Cell was stronger sure, but let's be clear their first tango was a warm up just like 50% Goku and Cell before they got serious. Just so happened Gohans warm up Lola at the others like 50% Goku was implied to do on Korins tower

Regardless of what happened in the MSSJ Gohan vs. Cell fight, Cell powered up to a point where he scared even Goku. I don't think he's 2x as strong as Gohan, but he's probably a bit more than 2x as strong as Goku. Cell considered Goku a worthy challenge, but now that I think of it, so did Frieza, and Frieza whooped Goku at 50%. So maybe Cell has a 75% - 85% lead on Gohan?

It makes you think what was Gohans SSJ limits as well is my point. Yeah he needed ssj2 to outright über stomp FP Perfect Cell, but he didn't need it to put up a better fight than Goku. And if Cell buffed out, I don't think he could touch mssj Gohan if he didn't want to be touches as his speed was still ahead of every z fighter and you can argue close to cells full speed which would be slowed with beefy muscles

Like you say, Gohan wasnt trying and he was suppressing his full power. Yes, but Gohan wasnt trying to damage Cell, and Cell was suppressed in powers, probably 2 steps above 100% SSJ Goku. Cell though that Gohan is not strong and that his level of power can beat Gohan. That is what he stated. He didnt matched his speed. He outclassed him. Gohan could takes down Cell that fought Goku. Well i dont belive that he holds back. I belive that he powered up to full power from start. Clearly no reason to hold back.

Gohan wasn't hurt, tired, or even mad is my point. IF Cell was above the power he put out versus Goku, then that just means Gohan was holding back while also being above their previous levels as well. If he was significantly weaker, he would have at least been hurt or shook by the point blank blast. He just didnt want to fight. And yes Cell used his full speed to catch Gohan, but nothing says Gohan couldn't keep track of him. HE let himself be hit, HE let Cell blast him, HE let Cell bearhug him, HE LET IT ALL HAPPEN because he didn't want to fight let alone get into the fight and lose control
