I'm doing fine, just a bit tired. Thanks for asking. I'm just waiting around to go work for a couple hours.

Tired from a busy day or just randomly? When does your uni term start again?
And what's the work? How long you been there?

Wow I'm really sorry/sad to read about your wrestling....I know it meant a lot to you. Are you no longer training it at all now? Has your life schedule changed a lot?
I feel a little awkward asking about something that serious nowadays so sorry if I come across a bit robotic.

I'm starting school back up tomorrow. I'm all ready to go.

Holy cow... You weren't that active when I was in the middle of being a serious lifeguard, which I've been doing for the past 3 years or so, I think. Now, I'm working at my town's nursing home, for some extra cash, benefits for school, etc. And dude... let me tell you it's been hell. I have plenty of stories to tell you. We need to catch up on some good stories.

But it's sad indeed about my wrestling career, my friend. I feel a part of me is missing, which is something I battle every single day. Sometimes it's considered my toughest opponent.

I'm definitely still training. I slacked off a bit the past couple years, but I've managed to pick myself back up, so I can fulfill my bodily goals.

My life style has changed a lot! You know I used to eat, sleep, and train nonstop.
Now, I'm living back at home with my best friend, in our own first house. I get to focus more on my studies, and I have ample time for extracurricular activities, hobbies of my personal interest.

Nah, bro, you're good about the catch up questions. I respect that you know me so well, which is no surprise. I'm glad you're back. I hope you plan on staying a while. Don't be a stranger.

Wow, I guess I shoulda figured Prof had a Q&A ready. Didn't know you were a fighter, that's pretty cool.

So here's my big question, do you prefer to train the mind or train the body? And how do you train (Feel free to leave out any special secret regiments)

I've been in the mix for many years, Ace. I'm also a champion.

I truly understand the importance of both, but I do prefer to train my mind more than my body. Deep down, I despise the grinding part of physical training (even though I do love it). But getting headaches easily and having asthma, and having other bodily setbacks can really take the 110% potential of drive, work, and enthusiasm out of physical training part, even if you're still giving 100%. I hope I'm making sense.

Anyway, it's much more peaceful and relaxing to train my mind by meditation, listening to music, talking to my coach about wrestling (team-wise, me, etc), talking to my best friend who was right behind my back in the wrestling world, and I had one of my ex-girlfriends back at the time, who was my matmaid, to talk to and have for support as well. And, the fact that I correlate my own universe with another universe of its own has not only been a grand method of mental training, but I've been gaining a lot of success from it as well, on both sides.

Here's how I trained when I was preparing to win a title:

I went to my normal practices, and trained super hard.

I ran 3-6 miles, 2-3 times a day. No joke. I ran a lot when I was competing, and I loved it. Not only was I managing my weight and building my physical stamina, but I was also training my mind by listening to my music, my certain playlist in which I still listen to this day.

I ate somewhat healthy. I should have eaten healthier way more than I did.

Have talks with my loved ones.

I watched videos of wrestling when I was competing. I still watch videos or read for whatever I'm competing in or whatever nowadays.

Foruming is super important. With the life I lived/live, I need another world to get away from the main, cruel one. It's relaxing, and more than likely I'm doing it on my down time.

Resting, which goes with above. I wish I rested more when I was younger and competing.

I hope I didn't forget anything. I think I gave a lot of physical and mental examples. Great questions, Ace.

Lol I thought you were gonna say "it's been amazing" or "it's been inspiring" and that you had a bunch of cool stories from sweet old people. I'd love to hear some haha.

Can I ask about your wrestling some more....was it things within wrestling/training that caused you to stop or external factors?

Yeh I bet you must feel like you have so much time now since you were used to such a packed schedule. I was saying to Kyouks recently that he should study hard as soon as he starts college so then if it turns out that he's puttin in more work than what's needed he'll feel like he has lots of time once he reduces his workload.
So have you been doing some activities? What are your bodily goals?

I'm sticking around. A few hours daily should be possible

Within - it was health. External factors was my mother especially and other loved ones.

Yeah, having the freed up time is a relief in many ways. It allows me to do stuff I hardly had the time for -- typing my stories especially.

My activities now are girlfriend, roommate and friends, working out, and school and work. Of course there's my love for anime/manga, writing, my second job (*ahem*), etc. My bodily goals are to gain all my weight back, and bounce as much as possible. That requires a lot of working out, supps, etc. I'm on the right track.

My most favorite thing about my town is how close our community is, within to one-another. Wrestling is super important in my town, a tradition of a little over a 100 years. 40 team titles and counting, and more individual champions than that.

I'm actually living back at home now. I'm just going to school, which is nearby.
