In addition to the rules found in this topic, the following rules will also apply from now on:

1. One line posts that give an answer with no explanation are not allowed and will be considered spam.
2. Speed calculations based on assumptions and scaling using fan made methods are banned, no exceptions.
3. Calculations for destructive capacity and strength are also banned. I don't want to see posts that say "Goku has a power of 12414524 megatons because person X calculated it." Physics doesn't work in fiction.
4. All inner energy will be seen as the same for the purposes of a fight. For instance, chi=chakra.

As with the other rules of this section, any violations will result in a verbal warn initially and repeat offences will lead to warns. We hope these rules will lead to better discussion and a more enjoyable experience in this section.

Small Question: If it's directly said in the manga that so and so blast is equivalent to ''whatever whatever miles or measurement'' is it acceptable?

^ Any measurements directly stated are fine, it's more about stopping people from scaling manga panels and things like that.

For example, doing the physics on Gotenks's flight around the planet is outlawed because it's mostly conjecture and there are too many variables?

Small question, Copy: We can apply physics if we're talking about Marvel? or DC? They seem to care more about realism than mangas.

You can for speed if you use stated variables for distance and time, other than that no.

I'll lock this thread for now, so it just doesn't become a Q and A. If anyone has any more questions about this send me a PM and I'll answer it and maybe amend the OP if it's a big enough concern.

Okay, I think these rules need to explained further because some people just don't get it.

Firstly, no one line posts means not just posting "X person wins" and nothing else. I want to argue why they are winning, that's the entire point of the section.

Secondly, you can't just allude to calcs. I've been letting it slide but I'm not from now on, saying "Character X is hypersonic" is clearly a calculation because you can't prove it otherwise. So don't say it.

Thirdly, frequent breaking of these and other forum rules in this section might lead to a section ban.

Edit: Oh yeah and Dragonball characters can't use the Dragon Balls. Because if they could, it makes every fight involving them pointless.

New rule: Saying Character X can blow up the planet and win is not going to cut it any longer. In a battle, characters actually fight with each other. They don't just fly up into the atmosphere and destroy the planet. The purpose of these match ups is to see who will be victorious in a one on one (or team) battle, not to see who can destroy the planet first.

Verbal warnings will be given out first followed by 10% warn increases.
